The Fresno State Bulldogs (19-9) travel to WisePies Arena to take on the New Mexico Lobos (16-12). New Mexico is favored by 6.5 points on the NCAA Basketball odds board and the total is at 147.5.

Fresno State Bulldogs
The Fresno State Bulldogs have won their last three games, including last Wednesday's hard-fought 64-63 victory against the Air Force Falcons. Marvelle Harris finished with 20 points, including a pair of free-throws in the final four seconds that made the difference.

Air Force led through most of the game until Harris tied it the game 63-63 before hitting the winning point with his last free-throw. Fresno State scores 73.9 points per game and shoots 42.7 percent from the floor and 33.9 percent from three-point range and they pull down 38.5 rebounds per game. The Bulldogs allow 69.8 points per game and their opponents shoot 41.7 percent overall and 32.7 percent from beyond the arc and pull down 33.4 rebounds per game. Marvelle Harris leads the team with 20.0 points, 4.4 assists and 2.1 steals, Torren Jones averages 10.5 points and 7.9 rebounds and Karachi Edo adds 9.4 points and 6.8 rebounds.

New Mexico Lobos
The New Mexico Lobos have lost two straight games. They're coming off a disappointing 86-69 setback against the Colorado State Rams last Tuesday. Tim Williams scored 17 points in the loss and Elijah Brown added 16 points but New Mexico shot just 4-of-16 from three-point range and turned the ball over 15 times.

The Lobos average 77.2 points per game on 46.9 percent shooting overall and 36.1 percent shooting from three-point range and they pull down 37.0 rebounds per game. Defensively, New Mexico allows 73.0 points per game and their opponents shoot 41.7 percent from the floor and 32.0 percent from beyond the arc and grab 30.9 rebounds per game. Elijah Brown leads the team with 21.1 points and 1.0 steals, Tim Williams averages 17.4 points and a team-best 7.8 rebounds and Cullen Neal adds 12.7 points per game.

Betting Trends
Fresno State is 8-7 ATS vs. conference opponents, 6-4 ATS as an underdog and 8-4 ATS on 2 days rest. New Mexico is 8-7 ATS vs. conference opponents, 4-7 ATS on 2 days rest, 4-6 ATS after a straight up loss and 3-7 ATS after an ATS loss.

Final Analysis
New Mexico is a 6.5-point favorite on the NCAA Basketball odds board and the total has been set at 147.5. These two teams met on January 2 and New Mexico won 77-62 at Fresno State, covering the spread as 5-point underdogs. Cullen Neal scored 26 points as New Mexico held Fresno State to 1-of-18 shooting from three-point range. Marvelle Harris led the Bulldogs with 15 points.

The Lobos are really struggling while the Bulldogs are playing decent basketball as of late. Three-point defense made the difference in the previous meeting but we can't expect Fresno State to shoot 1-of-18 from beyond the arc again. New Mexico might win this game but I like Fresno State to score enough points to cover the spread. I'm taking Fresno State +6.5 with one of my NCAA Basketball picks.
