The Arizona Wildcats, ranked 5th in the nation and unfeated in the Pac-12 Conference, look to keep the ball rolling in the form of momentum as they square off against an Oregon State Beavers squad in which looks to be a compete an utter mismatch.

#5 Arizona vs Oregon State Paddle Away!

That's just what the Beavers will need to do in this matchup as they've had a disastrous season and haven't even been able to muster up a single win in Pac-12 inter-conference play. On the other end of the spectrum, you have an Arizona Wildcats team which has had nothing but success this season and are legitimate contenders to win the NCAA Championhsip.

With wins over Michigan State and UCLA, the Wildcats got off to a fast start this season and never looked back. My one and only fear in this game is that the Wildcats might be looking past the Beavers with a pending matchup against Oregon coming up next. Arizona could have the game well in hand and let the bench play a good deal of minutes. That said, even the Wildcats bench provides more production than the Beavers starters. This game should be a definite blowout in favor of Arizona.

Allonzo Trier's Return

We all know that 7 foot freshman Lauri Markkanen is destined for stardom and the 2nd coming of Dirk Nowitzki. He's averaging 16.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game to go along with a sizzling 50.5% from beyond the arc. At this point, we expect Markkanen to play well as nobody on Oregon State's defense is fit to guard him.

Arizona get's a much needed boost with the return of Allonzo Trier and Trier might be enough to put them over the top where the elite teams are concerned.

In his 3 games since returning, Trier is averaging 13.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists. Trier has fantastic size for a guard at 6 foot 5 and can play many roles on this squad. Look for Trier to make a statement in this game as Arizona moves on to Oregon with a victory in their pocket tonight. 15 points appears to be quite reasonable for an Arizona cover.
