Gonzaga Cheerleader

The Gonzaga Bulldogs may not be in the most competitive conference in the country, but they've played the most consistent basketball at a high level and that's why they're currently undefeated and ranked #1 in the country. Tonight, Gonzaga must not let their guard down as they're a double digit favorite on the road against a Loyola Marymount team that the Zags should handle quite easily.

#1 Gonzaga vs Loyola Marymount

A Bettor's Best Friend

We've been tailing Gonzaga from the beginning and it's payed off in a major way as the Bulldogs currently stand at an amazing 16-4-1 ATS this season. While odds makers have attempted to make it difficult for the bettors who have backed Gonzaga, the Bulldogs continue to cover the spread on a regular basis with blowout after blowout.

The way to success in college basketball is to get hot at the right time. The question is how long will Gonzaga keep up this level of play as this is a school which is notorious for having huge regular seasons and then fizzling out in the NCAA Tournament.

Nigel Williams-Goss Listed As Questionable

While I don't think that this will affect Gonzaga winning the game, it could possibly affect the Bulldogs in covering the spread as Williams-Goss is the leader and best player on this Gonzaga squad.

He missed his last game and Gonzaga was still able to blow out Santa Clara in convincing fashion, 90-55. While his status is uncertain, Gonzaga is still a very strong team without the Washington transfer suiting up. With 7 foot 1, 300 pound Przemek Karnowski in the middle, this presents problems for the opposition in the paint. Karnowski is averaging 12.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in just 22 minutes per game. Key players don't have huge statistics as Gonzaga is blowing out opponents on a regular basis and the starters tend to take an early seat.

As for Williams-Goss, it's definitely beneficial for Gonzaga if he does play as this is a player that can do it all and make others better.

For the season, he's averaging 15.6 points, 5.7 rebound, 4.8 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. Williams-Goss is also coming off of a 33 point effort in a win over BYU. If he's able to play, he will play as Gonzaga has too much at stake to lose. This is a Gonzaga team which has beaten the likes of Arizona, Iowa State, and St. Mary's. LMU shouldn't be an issue tonight.

These two teams have met before and Gonzaga blasted Loyola Marymount out of the building, 93-55. Expect an easy Gonzaga cover.
