The Gonzaga Bulldogs have been flawless all season long and their real test come NCAA Tournament time. That said, this might be the best Gonzaga team ever as they're undefeated and covering the betting spread on a regular basis. Tonight, the Bulldogs take on the BYU Cougars. Just like every other opponent, BYU will be looking to knock off Gonzaga amongst the unbeaten teams in the country.

#1 Gonzaga vs BYU  The Gonzaga Locomotive

Nevermind the Gonzaga train, I've been riding the "Gonzaga Locomotive" all season long and it's been bringing huge gains as the Bulldogs are an amazing 15-4 ATS this season.

Gonzaga is a team that's never had a problem playing in the regular season. The NCAA Tournament has been their "cryptonite", but this is a much better Gonzaga team than the one's in the past.

When looking at the negatives, there really aren't any other than the fact that they don't play in a very tough conference. That said, the Bulldogs can only face the teams on their schedule and they've been destroying their opponents with wins over Arizona, Iowa State, and St. Mary's.

The Bulldogs are coming off of a "feel good" win as Pepperdine and Lamond Murray Jr. were simply no match for the Zags as Gonzaga defeated the Waves 96-49.

As stated earlier, Gonzaga has feasted off of weak competition in their own conference and this is one example of that fact. Przemek Karnowski managed 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals in just 19 minutes played while Nigel Williams-Goss finished the game with 12 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds in just 26 minutes. This combination has been deadly all season long and their seasonal averages reflect their amount of playing time. Simply stated, Gonzaga is involved in so many blowouts that their stars don't see a ton of playing time. As the season progresses, this will change. BYU is a much tougher opponent than Pepperdine.

Eric Mika

BYU has had a very respectable season as they're ranked 3rd in the West Coast Conference and a big reason for their success is the play of 6 foot 10 sophomore, Eric Mika.

Mika could present a problem for the Bulldogs as he's been dominant on the inside, averaging 20.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2 blocks. In his last 2 games, Mika is averaging 24.5 points and 8.5 rebounds. This is a big man that knows how to find his way to the charity stripe. Look for Mika to play well against the Bulldogs despite being matched up against Karnowski.

I'm expecting BYU to give Gonzaga a run for their money, but in the end, the bettor must side with Gonzaga. They've been flawless all season long.
