Minnesota likely will be without Jimmy Butler until the playoff, but for your NBA picks that means more betting value for the totals. Case in point is tonight's game at Sacramento.

We talked about the Wolves’ defense without Jimmy Butler a day or two ago, and it remains the same after we won the "over" on the Minnesota-Chicago game Saturday.

Even though the Wolves gave up only 104 points in that one, their defense is going to take a hit without Butler. They are allowing 118 points per 100 possessions without Butler on the court, and even against the Kings tonight they could easily give up 105 to 110 points.

Their offense, however, is what will win us this play with our NBA picks, based on the number on the NBA odds board.

Minnesota is averaging 112.4 points in their last five games, and they have cashed the "over" in eight of their past nine. The Kings have cashed the "over" in five of their last six games, and with tanking season in full effect, Sacramento will give up a ton of points tonight.
