While I have already released my NBA Picks for the start of this series tonight, there are some interesting prop bets I have found a few NBA Odds to release to you free of charge tonight.

James Harden O/U 12 ½ Rebounds + Assists
Since Patrick Beverley went down, and even more so in the playoffs when they needed him to bail them out, James Harden has been doing everything for Houston, including being the team’s main facilitator. Tonight for Game 1 of this series, Bovada has his rebounds and assist totals at 12 ½, and the over seems like one of the better prop plays of the night. In the last series against the Clippers, Harden had double digit assists three times, and he also had at least five rebounds in seven of the Rockets 12 playoff games so far this postseason.

With Harden having to shoulder the load as main passer and scorer, he should have plenty of opportunities to grab rebounds and get assists in this game, Even though he will be defended by Klay Thompson, not even the lengthy Thompson will be enough to keep Harden from dumping off for dunks to Dwight Howard, and kicking it to the corner for some open three pointers. Taking this total, Harden would have already cashed the over in five of his last seven games, so take the over tonight, and expect at least seven rebounds and assists from Harden tonight.

My Pick: OVER 12 ½ (-125) at Bovada

Klay Thompson O/U 28 ½ Points + Rebounds +Assists
If you look at Klay Thompson’s game log from the Memphis series, you’d take one look at this prop bet and go under without much thought. However I’m going the opposite direction with this one. A lot of attention is going to be paid to the MVP, Stephen Curry in this game, and Thompson, after a tough series in the semi finals, should be there to answer the call.

He no longer has to worry about one of the NBA’s best on-ball defenders in this series, and even though he’ll likely have to go against Trevor Ariza, he still should be able to get 29 points, rebounds and assists. He would only have to score about 20 points for this one to go over. If you look at his stats in the first round against the Pelicans, I think he produces those kind of numbers in this series, so take the over tonight as your NBA pick.

My Pick: OVER 28 ½ (-135)

Who will score more points: Draymond Green -1 ½ vs. Josh Smith
This is probably one of the most intriguing matchups of this series, and depending on how it goes, it could be one of Houston’s only chances to give themselves any chance to win this series. In games where Smith has been under control and scoring efficiently, the Rockets have been a very good team. However going against one of the league’s best defenders should be a new challenge for him.

That being said, when Green plays his normal 38-40 minutes, there should be no doubt who is going to win the scoring battle between these two teams. Smith is still in a virtual time-share with Terrence Jones at the power forward position, and he isn’t guaranteed any minutes, let along around 40. If Green stays locked in and is hitting his threes, there is no reason to not bet him to win this prop bet against J Smoove. This is probably one of the craziest prop NBA odds I’ve seen for Game 1 of this series.

My Pick: Green -1 ½ (-110)
