Vince Carter will return to the Atlanta Hawks and end his career after 22 seasons. Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.

Carter has already said that he expects to play one more year and retire and the 22 seasons will break the NBA record for most played. The Hawks loved how Carter's veteran presence helped develop their younger talent last season and they can try to make a playoff push in 2019-20.

The 42-year-old averaged 7.4 points in 17.5 minutes over 76 games with the Hawks last season, shooting 38.9 percent from beyond the arc. Carter averaged 11.1 points and 3.6 assists in the 27 games that he played at least 20 minutes last season, remarkable production for a veteran and he can still dunk but his impact once again will go far beyond what he can do on the court.

Revered all over the league, Carter earned the respect of his young Kings teammates without commanding it in 2017-18, leaving an indelible mark on them and he clearly left the same impression on the Hawks last season.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

From 1998 to 2019, Vince Carter’s best dunk from each season! #NBADunkWeek

;/a>
— (@Ballislife) July 22, 2019
"}[/]

Insider Amin Elhassan recently spoke on SiriusXM NBA Radio and said Vince Carter wanted to go somewhere he can get to play.
