There are eight games on the schedule tonight, with dates between Memphis/Indiana and Golden State/San Antonio standing out above the rest. Let's examine the NBA betting lines and come up with a value pack of plays.
Portland Trail Blazers vs. Charlotte Bobcats
The Bobcats, sitting at 33-36 SU and 39-27-3 ATS, will be entertaining the Trail Blazers tonight, who stand at 45-24 SU and 37-32 against the spread.
Portland has fought their way to two straight wins, first surviving in overtime against Milwaukee (120-115) before beating Washington 116-103 at home two nights ago. The Trail Blazers enter tonight having covered in three of their past four.
As for Charlotte, they've gone the other way, having dropped consecutive matchups after a four-game winning streak had them flying high. They've fallen to Atlanta (83-97 at home) and Brooklyn (99-104 on the road).
Sportsbooks are expecting this one to go down to the wire, which is why a pick'em is available right now. Who are we picking to win and cover?
Well, LaMarcus Aldridge remains doubtful to play, and that's obviously an added boost for the Bobcats, who now hold the clear advantage inside with Al Jefferson. Jefferson is averaging 24.8 PPG and 10.7 RPG in the month of March.
Charlotte, despite that recent setback versus the Hawks, has been fantastic at home recently, going 8-1 SU and 7-1-1 ATS over their last nine, which includes wins over the likes of Indiana, Memphis and Dallas.
The Bobcats are certainly not in the mood for a third straight loss and we expect added motivation after they got destroyed in Portland back in January. We're taking Charlotte to get it done tonight.
NBA Pick: Charlotte Bobcats PK
Indiana Pacers vs. Memphis Grizzlies
We're in for a treat tonight when two of the toughest-minded teams in the NBA meet up in Memphis tonight. Currently, the NBA odds show the Grizzlies barely favored on their home floor, where they've gone 21-14 SU on the season.
Both teams were in action last night, with Memphis losing by five on the road in Miami and Indiana taking care of Chicago at home in a 91-79 victory.
The biggest news to come out of both games was Marc Gasol's injury. He sprained his ankle and is considered doubtful for this showdown with the Pacers.
Yet, even though Gasol is a huge part of what Memphis does on both ends of the court, especially defensively, we still believe siding with the Grizzlies is the best way to go with our NBA picks for tonight.
Indiana isn't playing anywhere near their best basketball right now and they've been really struggling on the road. They've lost four of their past six away from home, while covering the spread only one time in that span.
The Grizzlies can't directly replace Gasol without repercussions, but they do have some talented big bodies like Kosta Koufos and even Ed Davis and Jon Leuer that could get additional run now.
More importantly, Memphis has really been protecting their home court with gusto, having not lost at FedEx Forum since February 5th. That's a streak of eight straight victories, with standout wins over the Clippers (102-96) and Trail Blazers (109-99). We're predicting yet another triumph for Zach Randolph and company tonight, with hopes that the supporting cast steps up to fill the void of Gasol.
NBA Pick: Memphis Grizzlies -1
