I'm not a Los Angeles Clippers fan, there I said it. Nevertheless, that being said this is a team that is playing some pretty good basketball right now, upset alert, maybe as our NBA pick?

NBA Pick: Clippers +2
Best Line Offered: at Bet365

NBA odds have come out making Los Angeles a +1.5 underdog & the total around 208. For my selection of the day I'm not going to worry about the number and take the Los Angeles Clippers on the plus money line at the best odds to get the win. This is a talented team that is playing very well on the defensive end and I look for a maximum effort tonight.

Oklahoma City Thunder
Oklahoma City is averaging 107.7 points per game while shooting 47.2% from the field, and allowing 99.6 points per game on 42.7% shooting from the field. They have been great all around on the defensive end especially in the interior allowing just 45.4% on opponent two point shots which ranks second in the NBA. They have also been really good and opponent effective field-goal percentage ranking six in the league, and opponent shooting efficiency ranking fifth. They're an up-tempo team so as one would suspect they do allow opponents to get up and down the floor allowing 86.9 field-goal attempts per game which ranks second to last in the league. On the offensive side they don't really have any weak points from the inside out. They shoot the three at a really nice 36.1% per game, and they are very efficient shooting 51% in their two point shots, as well they rank third in the league in offensive shooting efficiency. That is all pretty expected though of this team that is really talented with Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. Tonight though they face a team that matches up with them very well and I don't look for them to be as efficient as they have been the last eight games where they are solid 7-1.

Los Angeles Clippers
Los Angeles is averaging 102.5 points per game while shooting 45.5% from the field, and allowing 101.2 points per game on 43.5% shooting from the field. The Clippers are coming off a pretty rough road trip in which a lost to the Spurs and the Rockets. They got off to really bad start against Houston and just never really got back into the game, and against San Antonio they were in it all the way until the fourth quarter. I'm sure they will be happy to get back home where they have played well this season at 10-5. On the offensive side Los Angeles has been one of the better team in the league but surprisingly not very good in the paint averaging just 37.2 points per game. Outside of that though they have been pretty solid ranking seventh in the league in effective field-goal percentage and eighth in overall shooting percentage. Despite their last two games they have actually played very well on the defensive end so far this season allowing opponents just a 47.8 effective field-goal percentage which ranks seventh in the league. For the most part they have been good from the inside out and have played better defense at home.

When looking at their schedule this year Los Angeles has not had a lot of opportunities to face some of the best teams at home, and win. Arguably their only decent home win so far this season would be against Detroit with losses coming to the Rockets, Warriors, Pacers, Jazz, and Raptors. Nevertheless, I think they match up well with OKC and have had a tougher strength of schedule so far this season. For one of your NBA picks today look for Los Angeles to play their best game of the year and upset the Thunder.
