Our NBA handicapping professional shares his two top totals picks on Wednesday’s card. Go inside to find out what those picks are, and why he’s opted to wager on them.

Toronto Raptors vs. Brooklyn Nets 7:35 PM ET
Toronto will be facing an opponent (Brooklyn) this evening that’s allowing 103.2 points per game. The Raptors are 11-2 under the total (196.6 PPG) this season versus teams that allow 103.0 or more points per contest. Despite putting up a lot of points in recent games, Toronto has shot just 42.3% from the field over their past five contests.

Brooklyn has seen each of their previous three games go under the total, and there was a combined average of 195.7 points scored per outing. The Nets are coming off a 103-94 loss to Boston in their last game. They’ve gone 45-24 (65.2%) under the total during the past two seasons following a loss. The Nets have shot a terrible 42.6% from the field, and converted on only 27.4% of their three point attempts during their last five games.

I like this game to be a low scoring affair relative to the current total. Current NBA odds at The Greek clearly provides me a best combination of number and price for this specific wager.

NBA Pick: Play on under the total of 196 (-105)

Dallas Mavericks vs. New Orleans Pelicans 8:05 PM ET
Dallas saw their streak of four consecutive games going under the total end last night. However, it was a very deceiving high scoring result. Dallas defeated Sacramento 117-116, but the contest went two overtimes. It was tied 98-98 at the end of regulation time, 104-104 at the completion of one overtime, and didn’t surpass the total of 213.0 until overtime number two. Needless to say, Dallas will have heavy legs tonight after playing in that marathon of a contest, and has to travel besides.

New Orleans has gone 4-1 under the total (196.0 PPG) in their previous five contests, and that includes staying below the number in each of its last three.

This game has the earmarks of a low scoring contest with all things being considered. One of my NBA picks on Wednesday will reflect that exact prediction.

NBA Pick: Play on under the total of 206 (-105)
