It’s a much shorter card in the NBA tonight, and after 11 games last night, the league only has four this evening. However fear not, because despite the shorter card, I think I have found some more NBA Odds value tonight, and I am ready to share them with all of you!
Indiana Pacers vs. Atlanta Hawks
The Pacers played last night in Indiana, and handily beat the Magic. Tonight’s NBA Odds have them as -2 ½ favorites against the Hawks in Atlanta, with a total of 197 ½. Despite playing 24 hours ago, I think the Pacers could have the best NBA Odds value of the evening.
The Pacers are only 4-8 ATS when playing on no rest, however with their starters not getting that many minutes last night, (outside of Lance Stephenson who had 37 minutes) I don’t think we can label this one a true back to back. The fact is even though the Hawks are a solid team, the Pacers are going to eat them up down low tonight, and –2 ½ is once again undervaluing one of the most undervalued teams in the NBA.
Atlanta won the first meeting between these two this season, so revenge could also be on the minds of the Pacers. However in the long run, the Hawks are only 3-6 SU against the Pacers in their last nine overall meetings. Indiana could potentially extend the ground between them and the idle Heat tonight, as Indy stands three games up on Miami for the East’s top seed.
Atlanta’s home defense is starting to become shaky, and if you take a sample from their last ten games, you’ll see their defense is crumbling. The Hawks have given up well over 105 points per game in their last ten games, and even though the Pacers played last night, they are still undervalued in Atlanta.
NBA Pick: Pacers -2 ½
The Bulls have been a sad story this season, and it got even worse last night when the Kings dominated them in Sacramento. Joakim Noah got some extra rest however after being kicked out of the game after only 19 minutes of action. This is possibly the only good thing I have to say about Chicago in this game tonight against Phoenix. The NBA Odds have the Suns as -7 ½ favorites, with a total of 193 points.
The Bulls have actually been pretty good on the second night of a back to back, however they have only played ten games on no rest this season, which ranks them near the bottom of the league in amount of B2Bs so far this season. They are 6-4 ATS playing on no rest, but it is getting late in the season, and it’s about the time teams that are over-performing start to decay. Look at what’s happening to the Blazers right now. Portland is 1-7 ATS in their last eight games.
However the Suns are going strong, and continue to be one of the most undervalued teams in the entire NBA. Phoenix is 31-14-1 ATS this season, and they have gone 12-5 ATS against the East, while the Bulls are now 6-11 ATS taking on the West this season.
Unlike the Blazers, the Suns have also been very hot recently. They have won five in a row SU, and they have won eight of their last ten SU as well. In that stretch, they are 7-3 ATS. Although they will keep it close for a while, the Bulls will fall off eventually in the 2nd half, leading to a Suns cover for our NBA picks.
NBA Pick: Suns -7 ½
