College basketball is in the books and those placing sports picks can start focusing on the other three major sports that will be on the docket the next several months in the NBA, NHL and MLB.

For Tuesday we have a nice assortment of line moves and free picks to ponder. Like we say every day, understanding line moves can build your bankroll. (471-417 L168D)

San Antonio Spurs vs. Oklahoma City Thunder  8:05 ET  TNT
The San Antonio Spurs are like the one of the most popular selling items from infomercials, the Veg-O-Matic. That’s right, everyone putting together NBA picks versus the betting odds is watching a team that is “slicing and dicing” the competition, being winners of seven straight (7-0 ATS) and 10-1 SU and ATS since March 18th. Even NBA handicappers are finding it nearly impossible to not ride this gravy train the Spurs have been bumped up from -4.5 to -6 on the NBA odds against depleted Oklahoma City. With San Antonio having only allowed more than 100 points twice in this sensational stretch, the total has crumbled from 217 to 214.5. No reason to be a hero and bet against Tony Parker and company and remember the Spurs are 15-5 UNDER when the total is 210 or higher.

NBA Pick – Lean San Antonio and Under

Golden State Warriors vs. New Orleans Pelicans  8:05 ET  CSN-BA, FSN-NO
For the first time in nearly a month, Golden State failed to reach triple digits in being destroyed by the Spurs 107-92. Back on Mar. 9th, the Warriors tallied 98 points at Phoenix and the 92 points were the fewest Steph Curry’s crew has scored since ringing up 89 versus Philadelphia back on Feb.9th. With New Orleans having conceded only 92.8 points a game in their last six outings, the total has shrunk from 206 to 203.5. As good as the Pelicans defense has been, in three tries against Golden State this season, they have surrendered 117.3 PPG, and thus it would make sense the total going either direction would have to do with how New Orleans shoots the orange.

NBA Pick – Lean Over

San Francisco Giants vs. Arizona Diamondbacks  9:40 ET  CSN-BA, FSN-AZ+
It took those making MLB picks one day to figure out the Diamondbacks are in for a long season and they shifted the Snakes from -125 to +101 on the MLB odds against the defending World Series champions in Game 2 of their series. Of course that is not entirely true as maybe they just like Ryan Vogelsong over Jake Peavy, who’s been scratched with a stiff back. After last night, San Francisco is now 15-5 at Chase Field the past two-plus seasons and Arizona is 3-13 at home the first month of the season since last year. While the Giants appear to be the play, consider Vogelsong is 1-5 with a 5.35 ERA over his last 12 starts in the series and the D-Backs might steal one here.

MLB Pick – Lean Arizona

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Ottawa Senators  7:35 ET  ROOT-P, RDS
Pittsburgh has lost three in a row and nine of 12 as their once certain playoff spot has remained in limbo for awhile. The Penguins are in three-way tie for the two wild card slots in the Eastern Conference and are two points ahead of Ottawa, who is chasing them. NHL odds makers made the Senators a -135 money line favorite, however, they has slid all the way down to -115, in spite of the goalie Andrew Hammond being 17-1-2 with a 1.79 goals-against average in 20 starts. The Pens have key injuries which has hampered their offense which should benefit Ottawa who is 12-4 revenging two straight losses where the opponent scored three or more goals this season, so I'll back them with my NHL picks.

NHL Pick – Ottawa wins
