The Nuggets and Jazz should be an entertaining contest tonight, and with both teams down very important players from their first meeting there could be some value to exploit from the sportsbooks.

Nuggets at Jazz

In the first meeting between these two divisional rivals, Utah beat up the new-look Nuggets 106-96. Now back in Utah again tonight, the Jazz could be able to slow down the Nuggets a lot easier without Paul Millsap and his revenge game. Without Millsap, who may miss three months, the Nuggets are very guard-oriented outside of their stud center Nikola Jokic The Jazz are very good at defending guards and wings, and it shows when they play one another.

It is also tough for these Nuggets to get going on the road this year. They are averaging just 103.1 points per game away from home and shooting 43.3%. They are allowing their opponents to average more than 110 points per game on the road, but it’s more glaring in the first halves of these games. Denver is averaging less than 49 points per first half this season, and against divisional opponents it gets worse. They score just 93.3 points per game in divisional contests, and the Jazz aren’t much better.

There is a chance the Jazz grind Denver to a halt tonight in the first half and neither team gets to 50 points. The sportsbooks are spotting us a cool 105½ first-half line, which I am happy to take the 'under' on.
