The Raptors and Cavs hook up for the second time this season and the NBA Odds have the Cavaliers as -6 favorites. However, it’s the total that I have my eye on and the sportsbooks may be overestimating the Raptors’ recent uptick in pace and scoring.

Raptors vs. Cavaliers

The Raptors and Cavaliers hook up for the second time this season and with this series becoming a rivalry in the Eastern Conference over the last few seasons, you can bet both of these teams will be fired up to play one another.

The NBA Odds have the Cavs as -6 favorites, but it’s the total that has drawn my attention once again. At 207 points, the under looks like a fine NBA Odds wager for several reasons.

The first is that in their first meeting that played extremely slow and methodical in their pace, which led to a slower, more defensive game. It ended with the Raptors getting a big home win, but a final score of 94-91 easily cashed the under.

We could see a little bit higher score in this one, but neither team has been playing badly on defense. The Raptors may have been giving up some more points lately, but their defensive rating is still very good this season. Both the Raptors and Cavs are allowing only 105 points per 100 possessions and as long as they slow this game down like they did in their first meeting, the under should once again be a play tonight.

In their last eight meetings against one another, both in the regular season and the playoffs, the under is 5-3.
