The Raptors have waxed the Nets in their first two meetings of the season, but this will be their first matchup from Brooklyn. With that in mind, I see a lower-scoring first half, which is on par with previous matchups between these teams.

Toronto Raptors Vs. Brooklyn Nets

The Raptors have beaten up the Nets twice already this season, including 132-113 last week in Toronto. However, this will be the first time this season these two teams meet up in Brooklyn. The Raptors are still -11½ NBA betting favorites, but the first-half total is where I am looking at for value in this one.

The Raptors had only 54 points in the first half of their last game against the Nets and then went on to drop 78 points in the second half. Even though the Raptors have been quite successful cashing the 'over' when playing on the road, they are averaging only 52.8 of their 108.4 road points in the first halves of games this season.

The two times these two teams played in Brooklyn last season the total went 'under,' but the first halves of their games have been pretty low scoring compared to the first-half total of 115 at some shops. They have yet to score more than 110 points in a combined first half this season and last season they barely crossed the 100 mark in a few of those games.

Assuming the Nets come to play in their own building, especially after the Raptors destroyed them last week, I see a tight first half with a lower-scoring margin and overall first-half total.
