The Raptors will rely on the fanatic home crowd at the Air Canada Centre to lift them to yet another victory vs. the Cavaliers and extend this NBA betting series to 7 games.

Cleveland Cavaliers (-6) vs. Toronto Raptors 8:30 ET ESPN
After winning Games 3 and 4 at Air Canada by scores of 99-84 and 105-99, Toronto is now 4-0 SU on this court vs. Cleveland this season.  In the regular season, the Raptors defeated the Cavs 99-97 and 103-91.  Those victories are part of a 40-11 home court record for the Raptors.

Cleveland Cavaliers
In Thursday’s win, the Cavs were led by a bounce back game by Kevin Love, who had struggled mightily on this court in Games 3 and 4.  But on Wednesday, Love dropped 25 points on the Raptors, was joined by 23 points each from James and Irving, as Cleveland’s lead ballooned to 43 points in the 2nd half.

Each team’s mental approach will be key to this contest.  Cleveland HC Tyronn Lue said that he wants his team to treat this game as a Game 7.  For Toronto, the quote from leading scorer, DeMar DeRozan, may have been most telling.  “I don’t know why we get so comfortable, once we put ourselves in a tougher situation.  We have been doing it all year and we always bounce back.  I think we just thrive on adversity.”

Toronto Raptors
If the Raptors are to extend this series one more game, they could use a big game from Jonas Valanciunas.  Their starting center returned from a sprained right ankle Wednesday night to play 18 minutes, scoring 9 points.  One of the Raptors’ offensive goals will be to get the ball into the paint to the big man, providing him the option to not only score in the low post, but to pass out of the double team to the Raptors’ high-scoring guards, Lowry and DeRozan.  Along with the unexpected contributions of Biyombo, the Raptors will need production in the paint to make this competitive.

Conclusions
The bottom line is that the Raptors have an emotional edge on a strong home court, where they have a record of 40-11, including 4 victories over Cleveland this season.  They have the confidence of success here because of their Game 7 wins over Indiana and Miami earlier in the playoffs.  Knowing that NBA Playoff home dogs of 6 or more points, who are greater than .500 are an over 75% pointspread proposition, gives us the confidence that “We the North” can extend their 3rd consecutive playoff series to 7 games.  I invite you to put the NBA odds in your favor and join me in my NBA pick on the Toronto Raptors tonight.
