It's the start of a new week as the month of March draws to a close and there are some really appealing totals on the board where the NBA is concerned. Let's take a look at a couple of these games and make the pick that we think will benefit the public.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. New York Knicks

Waiting For Their 25% Chance
While many New York Knicks are playing for jobs next season, let's make no bones about it, they're waiting to see if they can land Jahlil Okafor, who is looking awfully good in the NCAA Tournament. The Knicks have a very tough time scoring points and they're playing the best one of the best defenses in the league in the Memphis Grizzlies. After a 97-86 victory over Portland, the Grizzlies are allowing 95.4 points per game. The betting total porsted on the NBA odds might be low, but in this instance, it's actually high.

Deciding Factors
During this time of evaluation to see who will be on next year's team, the Knicks have found a real gem in Alexey Shved. Shved had been a member of the T-Wolves and has shown glimpses of ability, but this is by far the best that he's ever played as a pro. He had mentioned that New York has a diverse culture off of the court and he loves it there and the Russian has excelled on the court.

Shved suffered a rib contusion (more reason to jump on the under), but before last night's game, he had been averaging 22 points over his last 3 games. If you would like to go back even further, he's averaging 17.6 points per game in his last 10 games and that includes leaving the last game early with an injury. New York has found a piece of the triangle in Alexey Shved.

One other player that's payed a lot of money and has been a disappointment is Andrea Bargnani. Lately, Bargnani has been playing like the star that averaged 20 points per game in Toronto. These are the two players that will be the only issue with the betting total because we know what we're going to get from the Grizzlies. Under is the play, especially with the Shved injury, whether he plays or not.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Utah Jazz

Inexperienced Losing Team vs. a Great Defensive Team
The writing is on the wall as the Utah Jazz are #1 in points allowed in the NBA at 94.9 points per game while they're 28th in points for at 94.7 points. This doesn't mean that they are a bad team as they possess some great young talent in Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert. This just means that we're going to see a low scoring game, especially if the opponent is a losing team.

In this case, the Timberwolves are a losing team. That said, they have some find young talent themselves as they got the best out of the Kevin Love-Andrew Wiggins deal. The T-Wolves problem is that they haven't learned how to win games, whether it be injuries to players like Ricky Rubio, a trade of Thaddeus Young for Kevin Garnett,, and other things. Trading Thaddeus Young for Garnett is idiotic and a steal for Brooklyn and that's partially why this team loses. They make off the court moves that don't make sense.

The Jazz are a little shell-shocked, coming off of a 106-91 loss to the best team in the league in the Golden State Warriors, Now, the tables will be turned in their favor in a game in which they hold the Timberwolves to the minimum. Take the under as your NBA pick.
