There are a full slate of NBA games on this Wednesday. Watch as we pick apart this schedule and find the most appealing betting totals to place our hard earned money on as we provide you with two top- rated picks.

Washington Wizards vs. Utah Jazz total- 180
A Low Scoring Affair
I know that the Utah Jazz have been a red hot team, winning 6 straight game as they have a long way to go to make it to their playoffs, but NBA betting odds makers could be looking at their past game, a 94-66 blowout of the Charlotte Hornets, a bit too much.

The Hornets are blowout material for most teams in the NBA.That said, the Jazz rank 1st in the NBA in defense, allowing 95.1 points per game and they also score 95.1 points per game. The difference in this game from their last game is that the Washington Wizards are an up an coming playoff team with a lot of talent.

It's not that the Wizards score a ton of points themselves (98.8 points per game), but the betting total appears to be too low. Although Utah's defense has been effective, I don't expect them to stop the multi-talented point guard John Wall. Wall is quickly moving up the list of guards and players for that matter as one of the better players in the NBA. He has great size at 6 foot 4, great handle, can dish the rock, and can score timely hoops.

Emerging Offensive Options
For the season, Wall leads the Wizards at 17.3 points, 10 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game. Most importantly, where the total is concerned, Wall has averaged 24.3 points per game in his last 3 games.

Expect a major battle in the paint between Marcin Gortat and the rebounding machine known as Rudy Gobert while rookie Rodney Hood continues to impress as he's coming off of a 24 point game on 9 of 11 shooting in a victory over Charlotte.  In his last game, Hood was 5 for 5 from 3-point range and is averaging 18.3 points in his last 4 games. With the emergence of Hood on a Utah team that already possesses the likes of Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors, I see a sufficient amount of offense in this game for it to go over the total.

Brooklyn Nets (27-38) vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (43-26)- total 204.5
An Unhappy King
We know that Lebron James is dealing with injuries, but he was able to play against the Heat in South Beach and once again, was outplayed by Dwayne Wade. Not only that, the 106-92 loss wasn't indicative to the beating that the Heat took. If James plays, look for Cleveland to have a huge game at home against the Brooklyn Nets.

As for the Nets, Thaddeus Young got the last laugh on the T-Wolves in a 122-106 victory. The T-Wolves got rid of Young for peanuts and the Nets collectively as a team, came through for the well-traveled veteran.

Kevin Love Will Be Back in the Lineup....
This game appears to be an easy over. The total is right where it should be, but both of these teams are quite capable of putting up points regardless if Kevin Love is in a funk or not. At 16.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, it's clear that Love doesn't know his place in this offense and the Timberwolves got the best of the deal, getting Andrew Wiggins, but Love still has talent and will be forced to find a way to incorporate his game into this offense. Love will be playing tonight.

In the meanwhile, Kyrie Irving has been the wing man that Lebron James has been looking for. Irving is starting to look for his offense more and thanks to a 57 point game in a victory over the Spurs, Irving is averaging 37 points in his last 3 games. Lebron James is more than happy to defer to Irving if he see's results like that as Irving is turning into LBJ's newer and younger version of Dwayne Wade. This game should have no problem going over the total with your NBA picks.
