With only two games tonight in the NBA, we have to look for extra value wherever we can. That means that looking at props for tonight’s game might be the way to go. There are several props available from Bet365 sportsbook, and I think I have found a couple that have value. Both of these props are for the early game between the Nets and Bulls.

Thursday NBA Picks of the Day

Race to 20 points

The race to 20 points is an interesting one. The Nets of course played last night in Brooklyn and now have to meet up with the Bulls tonight. The NBA Odds favor the Bulls at -3 ½, and at Bet365 they also favor them to get to 20 points first. However the Nets have been pretty good on offense recently, and despite the good Bulls defense, I think they can carry over their hot scoring start from last night. The Nets dropped 30 points in the first quarter yesterday against the Bobcats, and Charlotte is no slouch defensively.

The Bulls are a very tired team, and getting to the All Star Break is crucial for this team. The Bulls have been solid defensively, but recently the tired legs of the 50-game mark are catching up to them. They have either scored or given up 100 points in three of their last four games, and I think they will come out flat tonight. The Nets have been a pretty good 1st quarter scoring team this season, and despite being on the back to back, I think the value of +115 is absolutely good enough for a play.

My Pick: Nets (+115)

Double result

The double result is a great way to find extra value tonight. With me believing the Nets will get to 20 points first, I also subsequently think they could be ahead at the half. The Nets are very balanced on offense, and even though that kind of plays into the Bulls’ hands defensively, the value at Bet365 for a Nets-Bulls double result. If the Nets lead at the half and end up losing the game, this double result could net a profit of +425. This is plenty of value for me to take a risk on this close game.

The Nets playing last night will mean the likelihood of them being able to play hard all four quarters is very low. The Nets are one of the older teams in the NBA, and the back to back will continue to give them more and more trouble as the season grows older. Brooklyn is only 2-9 SU and 5-6 ATS on the second night of a back to back this season, and even though some of that were the early-season injuries, this team struggles on no rest. However I still think they can keep the game close enough to lead at the half.

The Nets’ offense will be enough to counteract the Bulls’ solid defense. In their last ten games, the Bulls have given up over 93 points per game, which isn’t great by their standards, however their scoring has been even worse. In their last ten, the Bulls have scored less than 90 points per game. Look for the Nets to lead at the half, and the Bulls to take them over at the end for our NBA picks.

My Pick: Nets – Bulls (+425)
