There are four games on tap tonight in the NBA, and with the short card, we have to find NBA Odds value wherever we can. For tonight’s national televised double-header, I have found two picks that I am going to parlay, to add value to my NBA Picks for the night.

Bulls vs. Raptors
For the first time in over a decade, the Raptors will have a regular season home game nationally televised on TNT. Obviously the entire country of Canada is going to be out in force against the Bulls tonight with that kind of crowd likely to be on hand, so the NBA Odds have the Bulls as slight underdogs tonight at +2 ½, with a total of 197. However as tempted as I am to take points with Chicago, recent NBA Odds movement on the total is opening up some new value for us.

At 197, this total is pretty high considering both of these teams are good defensively. After opening much lower, the total has shot up five to seven points depending on which book you’re looking at, and while that may lead some of you to think the over is the play, think again. Four of the last five times these two teams have played one another the total has gone under, and while most of those were without Derrick Rose, the total is high enough that even his eventual 20 points won’t have that big of an impact.

On top of that, those totals were a full ten points lower than the one we are looking at tonight. The under is 4-1 for the Raptors in their last five games against a team with a winning SU record, and the under is 42-19 for the Bulls in their last 61 games as an underdog between +1/2 and +5. I see a game where both teams barely get into the 90s.

Nets vs. Warriors
Hopefully after we have one game in the bag, we’ll be able to add some value to that win with the Nets and Warriors tonight. The NBA Odds have the Warriors as solid -9 favorites, with a total of 207. Much like the NBA Pick above, the spread is tempting, but the total seems like a safer and more valuable wager. This total has also been shifting upward, however not more than a half point as of this morning. However with that extra value added, the under for this game is also looking like the better play.

The Warriors’ defense has been very good to  start the year, and much like some other Western Conference teams fighting to be more than average, if it holds up, this team could advance very far into the playoffs. They will have their defense on display tonight against a Nets team that just lost a tough one last night in Phoenix. After having control of the game for much of the first half, the Suns stole one from the Nets last night, and tonight against a much tougher Warriors team, I think the scoring will be a little lower.

The under is 4-1 when they score 100 points or more in their previous game, and it’s also 4-1 in their last five Thursday games. The Nets are also an under cashing machine recently on Thursdays late last season, and with a larger total of 207, I think the double-under parlay is the way to go tonight.
