Big losses are hard to bounce back from, and big losses to big-name players are even harder to overcome. The Wizards will have to do that tonight against the Thunder.

Not only have the Wizards lost four of their last six games SU, they also will play the next six weeks without John Wall. Washington's All-Star point guard will not play tonight, and Wednesday he will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery.

Wall's absence is going to be tough to overcome tonight against one of the West’s best. The Wizards are 6-6 SU this season when Wall has been out, including 1-1 at home.

The Thunder, meanwhile, have been figuring things out lately, and that could have spelled bad news for the Wizards even if they did have Wall. OKC has won eight straight games SU, including a 121-112 victory over Washington last week with Wall in the lineup.

The Thunder are -2½ road favorites on the NBA odds board. They have gone 13-9 ATS against the East and are 4-1 ATS as road favorites over their last five games as such since December.

With the loss of Wall, I doubt the Wizards have enough energy to beat a rolling Thunder team, even at home, so with my NBA picks I'm taking the visitors. There’s just too much Russell Westbrook for the Wizards to slow down without Wall.
