Thunder & Russell Westbrook Reportedly Working Together To Facilitate Trade

With Paul George demanding a trade to the Clippers after Kawhi Leonard's heavy recruiting effort, Russell Westbrook's future with the Thunder is up in the air.

<p>Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that based on conversations among Westbrook, his agent and the Thunder, for the first time the team is receptive toward trade calls on the 2017 <a href="" target="_blank">NBA</a> MVP.</p><p>According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski: <em>"Story filed to ESPN: In aftermath of Paul George's departure, OKC star Russell Westbrook is welcoming to idea of Sam Presti engineering a trade that would bring an end to his illustrious 11-year Thunder tenure. Miami's expressed interest, a destination that appeals to Westbrook."</em></p><p>Wojnarowski recently said: <em>"The Thunder had been willing to pursue a package of Russell Westbrook and Paul George to the Raptors, but no talks ever gained traction."</em> He then explained that the Raptors didn't have the assets to satisfy the Thunder, with or without Pascal Siakam in any proposed deal.</p><p>Per Legion Hoops: <em>"The Wolves are engaged in trade talks for Russell Westbrook - per league source. </em></p><p><em>Minnesota has made it clear to Oklahoma City management they can clear enough cap space to work a deal for Westbrook, immediately."</em></p><div>[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "&lt;blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"&gt;&lt;p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"&gt;This past season, while consuming 29% of the Thunder's shots while on the floor, Russell Westbrook registered at 50% true shooting, six percentage points below league average. He's set to make $38.5 million next season.
