Saturday's NBA betting menu provides some interesting matchups that, according to our expert capper, carry some nice value. read on as Troy breaks down three games that must be circled in your betting schedule.

Kings vs Pistons

The Detroit Pistons have gotten off to one of their hotter starts in recent memory by amassing a 6-3 record. One of the catalysts for the hot start is Andre Drummond and his newfound urgency to pick up his intensity on the defensive end. Drummond led the the Pistons with 24 points and 15 rebounds as they defeated the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.

An even more noticeable contributor has to be the Pistons bench unit who are outscoring opponents reserve units by seven points per game, including a 38-14 differential against the Bucks last night.

The Kings are coming into this game with the league’s second-worst offense, scoring only 93.1 points per game on just 42.7% from the field. Look for the Pistons to get back on the winning track against the Kings, who beat Detroit in both of their meetings last year. Detroit will get the win, but I do not foresee them covering that 9.5 point spread. The Kings are a professional basketball team, and those players have pride. Whether or not they have enough talent to win in this league is debatable, but if they give maximum effort, they should be able to keep the margin of victory within single digits.

 Pelicans vs Bulls

Chicago fans are in for a long and tumultuous journey when it comes to following this Bulls season. The Baby Bulls do not have enough talent to compete with the majority of teams on a nightly basis, but this is not lacking in toughness. Lead by center Robin Lopez, the Bulls are establishing themselves as a tough out for opponents, despite their lack of wins.

Anthony Davis and DaMarcus Cousins are leading the Pelicans as a dynamic big-man duo in the “Pace and Space” era. The problem with Davis and Cousins is that it seems when they are dominating the ball on the Pelicans offense, the team does not seem to win as much. For the first time this season, the Pelicans won when Davis and Cousins combined to score more than half the team’s points against the Dallas Mavericks.

This stat is more of an indictment against the Pelicans supporting cast than their star players. The Pelicans will definitely be more likely to win when the ancillary players play well and take some of the load off of Cousins and Davis.

The Pelicans should get strong performances from Jrue Holliday and Jameer Nelson at the point guard position, because the Bulls have the weakest point guard depth chart in the league.

Warriors vs Nuggets

The Warriors need to find a way to get off to quicker starts at the beginning of games. This team has gotten into a pattern of falling behind by double digits and then leading comebacks to seize victory. This is exactly what happened in the Warriors last game against the Spurs on Thursday night. The Spurs built up a 19 point first half lead, just to end up losing the game 112-92.

Golden State should be well rested though coming into the game with a few days of rest, whereas the Nuggets are tired and weary, having played 3 games in four nights. In the NBA we have what betting experts call “schedule loss” and this game has it written all over it. There is no feasible way that the Nuggets should be able to compete with a rested Warriors team on their third game in four nights.
