There are three playoff games tonight and we have opinions on each and every total. Let's peruse the NBA odds and fatten our bankroll tonight.

8:05 PM EDT - Hornets vs. Heat
We can clearly see a pattern in this series so let's no overthink it and try to create a new paradigm in order to prove how smart we are. It is pretty simple. When these teams play in Miami two things happen. The Heat win and the game goes over...by a lot. And when the venue shifts to Charlotte the Hornets win and the game goes under. Well, the Hornets have evened up the series after dropping their first two in Miami and the teams return to South Beach.

Here are a few stats to consider before we make the logical determination that this game is destined to go high.

The last five Hornets road games have gone over.

The over is 19-7 in the last 26 games played in Miami.

10 of the last 10 games played in Miami between these two clubs have gone over.

10:05 PM EDT - Trail Blazers vs. Clippers
The Clippers found out on Monday night that they are totally screwed. Sorry for being so blunt but when you lose two superstars in one game, well, I believe that best describes their plight. Blake Griffin and Chris Paul are both out for the foreseeable future and the Trail Blazers have rallied from a 2-0 deficit to even it up at two apiece.

The NBA odds makers almost hit Game 1 right on the button when they hung a 210 ½ total on the series opener and the teams combined for 210 points to narrowly go low in that contest. The next three games followed suit, only not nearly as close to the number. Despite the fact that the total being offered averaged at about 207 between Games 2, 3 and 4 these teams have averaged 183 points over those three contests. In other words the totals are remaining high while the teams insist upon playing low.

So now we have two of the most prolific offensive players erased from the equation in a series that has demonstrated unusually tight defense. We also have stats supporting our contention that Game 5 will indeed go low tonight.

The Portland Trail Blazers are:

5-0 under in their last five games playing on one day's rest.

6-0 under in their last six vs. Western Conference opponents.

4-1 under in their last five road games.

The Los Angeles Clippers are:

4-0 under in their last four overall.

4-0 under in their last four conference quarterfinals games.

20-6 under in their last 26 home games.

5-2 under in the last seven meetings between these clubs in games in LA.

10:35 PM EDT - Rockets vs. Warriors
The series returns to Oakland where the Warriors will more than likely put an end to Houston's championship aspirations. Will he or won't he? That was the big question being asked about whether or not Steph Curry would be back in action after suffering an injury in Game 4 against the Rockets. We now know the answer to that question and it's a Grade 1 MCL sprain that will sideline the superstar for approximately two weeks.

So with no Stephen Curry how will this game go and should we include the over or under in our NBA picks tonight in Oakland? Three of four games have already gone under in this series and though the Warriors put up a ton of points at home they can also put a lid on their opponents offense as well. I believe the fight has gone completely out of this year's underachieving Rockets and this one will be over by the time the fourth quarter commences. Garbage time for the pine jockeys which means the game will slow down and so will the points scored.
