Los Angeles Clippers vs, Chicago Bulls
The Clippers and Bulls will square off on Thursday night in Chicago. The opening tip at the United Center is slated for 8:05 PM ET. Current (8:45 AM ET) NBA odds at 5Dimes indicates that Chicago is a 1 point favorite, and the posted total is 200.5. Chicago is also listed as a -115 money line favorite. Tonight will be the first of two meetings this season between these teams. They split their two encounters a season ago, and the road team won on both occasions. Each of those contests went under the total.

Two weary Teams
These teams both played last night with Los Angeles winning 109-95 at Milwaukee, and Chicago dropping a 105-100 decision at Boston. This will also be the third game in four days for each of tonight’s combatants. Thursday will be the Clippers 13th game in the last 21 days, and also their third of a five game in eight day road trip. Chicago will have a slight edge in that regard. Tonight will be the Bulls 9th game in that same 21 day period.

Totals Report
Each team has seen its previous three games all go over the total. Those three Clippers contests have averaged a combined 208 points scored per game, and Chicago’s three outings averaged a combined 202.3 points scored. Los Angeles has gone 7-1 over on the road this season (212.6 PPG). Chicago has gone 8-2 under the total (193.0) at home during this 2015-2016 NBA campaign. Chicago has seen all eight of their games this season stay under the number following a road contest.

Hot and Cold
By virtue of last night’s win in Milwaukee, the Clippers have now won its last three, and six of their previous seven games. It was a much needed successful stretch which was preceded by them losing eight of their previous eleven games. They also enter tonight on a three game road winning streak.

Contrarily, Chicago has cooled considerably since getting off to a fast 8-3 start. Since that time, they’ve gone 3-5, and that includes 0-3 SU&ATS during their last three games.

Stellar ATS Betting Angle and Pick
Chicago has gone 2-6 ATS during their last eight games. The Bulls (11-8) have a .579 win percentage this season, and the Clippers (13-9) come in at .591. This sets up a very profitable NBA money line betting angle that’s detailed in the following paragraph.

Play against any home team that’s +135 to -155 on the money line, coming off failing to cover 6 or 7 of their previous 8 games, and both teams possess a winning percentage of .510 to .600, resulted in the road teams going 26-9 (74.3%) versus the money line since 1996.

I’m going with the road team in this contest for one of my NBA picks on Thursday.
