Night time is the right time on Saturday night in Los Angeles as the Unibrow, Anthony Davis, and the New Orleans Pelicans (8-9) square off against CP3, Blake Griffin, and the rest of the Los Angeles Clippers (13-5) at the Staples Center. Expect the celebrities to be out in full force. Here is your betting pick for this terrific matchup.

Tip-off is set for 10:30 pm ET on Saturday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. This game can be seen on Fox Sports Network 2.

Currently, 5 Dimes Sportsbook lists the Clippers as a 9 point NBA odds betting favorite and the total for the game is listed at 205.5.

The Pelicans have a ton of young talent and quite possibly the best player in the game for his age is Anthony Davis, but they might not be ready for an experienced crew such as the Clippers and add in the fact that L.A. is on a 6 game winning streak. Can the Pelicans pull off the upset or might they just cover the number?

The Future of the NBA
I got a really good look at the Anthony Davis against the best team in basketball in the Golden State Warriors and although the Warriors eventually blew the Pelicans out, there's no denying that the Unibrow is something special.

Davis can do it all and it looks so effortless. I've never seen a player with such fluidity to his game. For the season, Brow is averaging 25.2 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2.3 steals per game. This guy is playing off the chart and we might start labeling him the best player on the planet very soon, but for the time being, he's the future of basketball.

The Pelicans are a team with a lot of young talent. Jrue Holiday's game compliments Davis' because he  can knock down the occasional 3-ball and is quick to set Davis up. Holiday is averaging 15.3 points and 6.5 assists per game.

The Pelicans have Tyreke Evans who I equate to a poor man's Dwayne Wade. Evans didn't play very well as the Warriors clobbered the Pelicans. He was off the mark and played a very selfish game. Nonetheless, this is a guy that's capable of scoring 35 points and changing the complexion of a basketball game.

I can't list every Pelican on the team, but a key matchup in this game will be Omer Asik vs. the Clippers big men. Asik is very underrated and has a better offensive game than DeAndre Jordan. Blake Griffin isn't a factor where Asik is concerned, because Griffin is a poor defensive player that's more focused on the other end of the court.

These Teams Match Up Well
Normally, I would expect a Clippers blowout. They're on a major winning streak, at home, the more experienced basketball team, and the Pelicans have had a few days to think about the pounding that they took at the hands of the Golden State Warriors. I actually think that this is a great matchup for the Pelicans.

Nobody will be able to stop Davis while Jrue Holiday will keep close tabs on CP3. The Pelicans also get some relief coming off the bench in the form of 6 foot 10 sharpshooter Ryan Anderson. Anderson has went through some tough times off the court; a very tragic story. That said, Anderson has gotten back on track with the help of head coach Monty Williams and the Pelicans can get a good 30 minutes from Anderson, who is always capable of putting up 20 points against any team

You have every reason to take the Clippers as your NBA pick in this matchup, but I like how New Orleans sizes up against the Clips. I'm taking the points.
