Owner, Marc Cuban, has to see what he likes as the much improved Dallas Mavericks hosts an Indiana Pacers team that is decimated with injuries. In their last game, the Pacers lost Roy Hibbert due to a sprained ankle and his status is listed as day to day. Should we apply Dallas as our betting pick with all of the injured that the Pacers have had to endure?

Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p,m ET tonight at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Today NBA odds markets lists the Pacers as a huge 12.5 betting favorite and the total for the game is listed at 196.5.

More Injuries?
It appears that Rodney Stuckey, a player that can put the basketball in the hoop, will also be out with a sprained right wrist. Stuckey is listed as day to day. How much punishment can one team take? I'm surprised that the Pacers are as good as 5-8 with their entire starting 5 out. The question is will the water boy be the next one to acquire an injury for Indy?

Indiana will have to be shooting on all cylinders in this game as the Mavericks are 1st in the NBA in points at 109.9 points per game. Can Indy keep up a fast paced game with sharpshooters such as Monta Ellis is the question?

Happy As a Pig in Mud!
We all thought that Tyson Chandler was washed up when was a member of the Knicks last year, but Chandler really excels in a Dallas Mavericks uniform. He performed well when the Mavs had their championship run and once again, Tyson Chandler appears to be on top of his game. His minutes have been limited because Dallas has been blowing opposing teams out and everyone has sat for the 4th quarter, but for the season, Chandler is averaging 10.6 points,10.4 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in just 27.3 minutes per ball game.

Most of his shots are in the paint, but Tyson Chandler is shooting near 70% from the field. There's something about Dallas that agrees with Tyson Chandler and with Roy Hibbert unable to play for the Pacers, the Mavericks have a distinct advantage at the center position as undersized Luis Scola will have to guard the 7 foot 1 Chandler. This will be a key matchup in the game.

The Decline of Donald Sloan
For a good part of the season, point guard Donald Sloan was the Pacers go to guy in George Hill's absence. Lately, Sloan's play on the court has taken a major nosedive. Maybe he's not used to the rigors of an 82 game season, but he had a nice run and his game has taken a turn for the worse. In his last 5 games, Sloan is averaging 10.4 points, 4,4 assists, and 4 rebounds on just 38.6 % shooting from the field. Look for Monta Ellis to have a big game and take Sloan to school in this matchup as it's very lopsided in favor of Dallas.

A Major Disappointment
One thing that Dallas can be disappointed about has been the play of Chandler Parsons. They thought that they were getting a blossoming star and instead Parsons has had a problem all season long fitting into the offensive scheme. Parsons is shooting a dismal 37.4% from the field in his last 10 games to go along with 12.2 points and 5 rebounds. Although he'll never be as good as Dirk Nowitzki, the Mavs aren't about to give up on Parsons. There is some potential to his game and he adds size and youth to this team. I expect him to improve as the season progresses.

12.5 points are a lot to lay, but Indiana is a walking MASH unit. Make your NBA pick the Mavericks in a blowout win, as Dallas is playing their best basketball since their championship run a few years ago.
