The  76'ers have young talent, but need time to blossom. They face the  Magic tonight, and somebody has to win.  See if we think if the Magic can "hold serve" at home.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 pm ET at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

5 Dimes Sportsbook lists the Magic as an 8 point NBA odds betting favorite and the total for the game is listed at 193.

Philly's 2 wins have come on the road. Do they stand any chance of winning this game outright against a team in the Magic who are coming off of a very demoralizing loss to the Utah Jazz?

Just like Lebron James is LBJ, Michael Carter- Williams has his own abbreviation and he's earned it by being the Rookie of the Year last season and he continues to progress into one of the better players in this league.

Philadelphia has a ton of options that are starting to gain confidence such as Robert Covington and Tony Wroten, but much is expected out of MCW because he has already proven that he can play at a high level over a long period of time and he's a,multi-faceted player. His points are down due to the emergence of Wroten and Covington, but for the season, MCW is averaging 15.4 points, 7.8 assists, and 7.2 rebounds per game. Carter-Williams has adjusted his game so other players can fit into the offensive scheme and although it hasn't translated into victories,Philly has a bright future ahead of them.

For the time being, they will need to catch a poor team on an off-night as the Sixers are a team that can't play defense. Teams such as the Lakers and SIxers who don't care about defense always lose. For the season, the Sixers are allowing 103.9 points per game. Orlando gets an early Christmas gift with a visit from Philly.

Tobias Harris
The Magic are another team that has found it difficult to win in the NBA with such great young talent. That said, they've fared much better than Philadelphia as they have a polished big man in Nikola Vucevic and a young and up and coming scorer in Tobias Harris. Harris is the type of player that's capable of putting up 40 points on a team on any given night.

Although he's not a  great 3-point shooter, Harris has been very productive and efficient this season on the offensive end while players like Victor Oladipo and Evan Fournier have been inconsistent at times. For the season, Harris is averaging 18.6 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. He shoots 48% from the field and over 80% from the line. If this game is close, you will see the basketball in the hands of Tobias Harris.

"Center of Attention"
Speaking of Nikola Vucevic, he's emerging into one of the top centers of in the NBA. This is a player that put's up up a nightly double-double and scores close to 20 points. He has a distinct advantage over Nerlens Noel, who hasn't quite adjusted to the NBA game as of yet. The Magic are the more established team and in the end, the mistakes and inexperience will cost the SIxers in this game.

8 points are a lot for the Magic to be a betting favorite except against a Sixers team that can't play defense, makes silly mistakes, and plays poor defense. That's why we are going to back Orlando in this NBA pick.
