By the Numbers is a daily NBA column featuring Swinger’s top selections according to historical trends and game time matchups. Let’s review the top picks for Sunday's slate and cash in our NBA picks.

Jazz (38-24 SU, 27-32-2 ATS) vs. Kings (25-36 SU, 29-30-2 ATS)

* Sacramento is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Sunday games.

* Sacramento is 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games as a home underdog of 5.0-10.5.

* Sacramento is 7-0 ATS in their last seven games playing on three or more days rest.

* Sacramento is 8-2 ATS after three or more consecutive losses.

* Utah is 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a favorite of 5.0-10.5.

* Utah is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games following an ATS win.

* Utah is 0-5 ATS in their last five road games vs. a team with a losing home record.

* Utah is 2-5 ATS in their last seven after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.

The oddsmakers understand the public will be looking at the last outing for each of these teams in which both played a common opponent in the Brooklyn Nets. While the Jazz notched an 112-97 home victory, it was a far different result for the Kings who fell 109-100 as 2 ½ point home chalk. Thus, the line here is inflated. The Kings have had four days to agonize over their woeful performance but will consider their last meeting with the Jazz in which they edged Utah 94-93 on December 21st as eight-point road dogs. In addition, the Jazz comes into this one banged up with Rodney Hood (knee), Derrick favors (knee) and Joe Johnson (groin) all probable for this contest but will certainly be limited even if they do play.

Thunder (35-27 SU, 34-27-1 ATS) vs. Mavericks (25-36 SU, 34-27 ATS)

* Dallas is 18-5 ATS in their last 23 Sunday games.

* Dallas is  6-0 ATS in their last six games as a favorite of 0.5-4.5.

* Dallas is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

* Oklahoma City is  2-6 ATS in their last eight games as an underdog of 0.5-4.5.

* Oklahoma City is  1-4 ATS in their last five games as a road underdog.

* Oklahoma City is 1-4 ATS in their last five when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.

* Oklahoma City is 1-4 ATS in their last five road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

The Thunder's Victor Oladipo is expected to remain sidelined and that's good news for the Mavericks. Oladipo bucketed 17 points in OKC's 109-98 victory over Dallas in their only meeting thus far. But if you recall, it was a short-handed Mavericks team that played that January night in Oklahoma City. But tonight Dallas will get their revenge as they have covered in their last four contests and made all those bettors who backed them in their NBA picks some happy campers. Let's lay the short number and cash a ticket with Dallas.
