I made the mistake of betting the under on the Warriors’ game last night with the Sixers, and now coming off that game the Dubs are in Brooklyn tonight as huge road favorites. D’Angelo Russell will be out for this one and the foreseeable future, so does that mean we should lay the points?

Free NBA Pick: OVER 232 ½Best Line Offered: at 5Dimes

Last night Philadelphia got out to a 20-plus point lead at halftime before the Warriors dropped 47 points in the third quarter to take control of the game. If they can do that against a talented team like the Sixers, I shutter to think what they’ll do tonight against the Nets.

Without Russell, the Nets are faced with an offense without a leader, and while they have the ability to score points, they aren’t going to be able to out run the Dubs. Even with the Warriors coming off the back to back, this total of 232 ½ looks ripe for an over pick.

The Warriors’ defense will be tired coming into this one, and that could lead them to take the Nets lightly early in the game, much like they did last night against the Sixers. Plus, the pace of this game should be as fast, or faster than last night’s as well.

Furthermore, these two teams have been cashing the over with great regularity in their respective positions. The Warriors are 5-3 cashing the over on the road this season, while the Nets have cashed the over in five of their seven home games.

Without Russell, the Nets will be forced to play even faster in order to wear out the already tired Warriors. Whether or not it will work remains to be seen, but either way there will be plenty of points scored.

Brooklyn is averaging 114 points per game at home this season, while the Warriors are all the way up to 119.2 points per game on the road. If we can get both teams close to their averages, the over is the best NBA pick here.
