Back in mid-November, the Rockets visited the Oklahoma City only to lose by a couple of points. Can Houston get some revenge on Russell Westbrook and the Thunder?

Houston Rockets

In their game a few weeks ago against the Thunder Houston shot just 43.5% from the floor and 35% from distance. Those aren't horrible statistics but the problem was that Oklahoma City shot 47.6% from the floor and 48% from the distance. Besides the shooting percentages this game was a really even match up as both teams got to the line 14 times, both teams had 16 turnovers, and both teams had 25 assists, talk about even. Up and down statistically there was not a lot of difference in this game except for the overall shooting percentages. Both teams are on solid winning streaks right now as well so this looks to be the best matchup of the day and for my pick I think Houston comes in and gets their revenge tonight. On the season Houston is averaging 112.2 points per game which now ranks second in the league just behind Golden State. As well, behind the Warriors they are arguably the most efficient scoring team in the NBA ranking second in effective field-goal percentage and efficiency, along with third in overall shooting percentage.

 Oklahoma City Thunder

Oklahoma City is averaging 107.4 points per game while allowing 104.8 which ranks them seventh and 17th in the NBA respectively. There will be some really good matchups tonight across the board against Houston as Oklahoma City has been extremely good in scoring the basketball this season as well. Currently the Thunder rank first in points in the paint along with ranking 10th and 12th in the NBA in effective field-goal percentage and shooting efficiency respectively. Like Houston, though they have been lacking somewhat on the defensive end and currently rank in the middle of the league allowing opponents to shoot 44.4% from the floor along with 39.3 field goals made per game (19th defensively). I could go on and on about Russell Westbrook and although they are on a six-game winning streak I like Houston to put into that tonight.

NBA Odds

Oddsmakers currently have Houston as a -1 favorite across the board. For my NBA pick, I'm going to back the Houston Rockets minus the point. Although both teams are streaking Houston is the better team in my opinion.
