Can Indiana hang with one of the best teams in the league or will the Spurs continue their current winning streak? Check our free NBA picks inside, don't make a move without reading this article.

NBA odds makers have come out making the Spurs a -6.5 favorite like at Pinnacle Sports -105. For one of my NBA picks I will take the points with the Pacers as they will be the best team the Spurs have faced in the last two weeks. Indiana should be able to get enough stops and I anticipate this game to go at a controlled pace.

San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs are on an eight game winning streak and rank 1st in the NBA in overall shooting percentage and scoring margin. They also rank first in the NBA in opponent overall, two, and three point shooting percentage. If it wasn’t for the Golden State Warriors this team would be talked about along the greatest of all time with the season they are having, alas the Warriors have been phenomenal. Their current streak just confirms how good they are but on closer examination they haven’t faced anyone of significance the past couple weeks. Last year they escaped Indiana with a 95-93 victory, and although the personnel is a bit different on both sides I believe Frank Vogel will have a good game plan for the Pacers to keep this game close at the very least the whole game.

Indiana Pacers
The Pacers are coming back from a four game road trip and rank defensively fourth and fifth in the NBA in opponent assists and opponent three point shooting percentage. Right now the Pacers are in the thick of the playoffs and barring an injury I believe they will be in it and be a tough matchup. They went 2-2 on their recent road swing and should be well motivated to take on one of the best teams in the league, and franchises of all time. I have mentioned before how Indiana has revamped their offensive system this season but their success might be limited against the best defense in the NBA. What they do have going for them is that they are at home and on the defensive side of the ball they should be able to limit a very efficient Spurs offense as the they rank 8th and 10th in the NBA in opponent shooting efficiency and opponent effective field goal percentage respectively.
