The semifinals continue with three of the four series in action on Sunday. Let's review the NBA odds and focus in on the sharpest bets on the board.

Cavaliers (58-31 SU, 40-45-4 ATS) vs. Raptors (55-36 SU, 48-42-1 ATS)

This series has been more of an exhibition for the Cavaliers rather than a playoff battle. Cleveland has won all three games by double digits and covered the NBA odds with ease. In Game 3 the Raptors were a dismal 2-of-18 from the beyond the arc and were outrebounded 49-25 and dropped a 115-94 decision on their home floor.

This afternoon the oddsmakers are desperately trying to get bettors to back the home dog in their NBA picks by giving the Raptors a seven-point head start, the highest number of the series including the first two games in Cleveland. However, if you shop around there are a few shops dealing 6 ½ as of this Sunday morning writing. Yet the public will not be deterred and will lay the lumber here as Toronto has simply been overmatched and overwhelmed by LeBron and company. This ship has sailed on Toronto and there isn't even a flicker of hope that they will magically turn things around and sweep the Cavs to win the series. They know it and the final score will reflect it.

Spurs (67-24 SU, 48-41-2 ATS) vs. Rockets (60-30 SU, 46-43-1 ATS)

San Antonio has won and covered the number in all three games at Houston this season including Friday night's 103-92 victory as 5 ½ point road dogs. Tonight they come into Houston, again the underdog by 5 ½ points, and will continue the streak of not only covering the spread but winning the game outright. They are fully aware this series will be theirs for the taking if they go up 3-1 with the next two of three in San Antonio.

The bottom line here is that the Spurs have one superstar, Kawhi Leonard, surrounded by very good players whose game plan is rooted in defensive tenacity. The Rockets have their own superstar in James Harden but unfortunately he is a one-man wrecking crew that needs more than a little help from his friends in order to defeat San Antonio. I'm not quite sure why the oddsmakers have not lowered this number to account for the fact that the Spurs have won and covered in Houston all three times this season, as well as their final Houston meeting in 2016, for a 4-0 straight up and ATS mark in San Antonio's last four trips to the Toyota Center. I don't think we'll need them but let's grab the generous six points that 5Dimes is dealing right now!
