We every show dishing the goods on what just happened in the betting marketplace and how it is likely to affect both the markets and the results moving forward in a segment they playfully refer to as ‘Bad Beats and Bad Bets’.
Bettors who had the Cubs or the Under on Wednesday were not amused when Chicago blew not one but two save opportunities against the Nationals. Hector Rondon hadn’t blown a save chance all year; now he’s blown two in a row – there are clearly cracks starting to show in Joe Maddon’s bullpen. Meanwhile, Washington just hit their club record ninth pitch hit home run already and it’s only June. It’s worth noting that both Teddy and Pauly look for San Francisco to be the Cubs toughest challenger in the postseason, not Dusty Baker’s Nationals.
How about this Clayton Kershaw stat: If you’ve bet the Dodgers parlayed with the Under in Kershaw’s last nine starts you’ve cashed eight winning parlay MLB Picks and lost none (one game LA won, but pushed on the total). The ONLY reason the books haven’t been getting hammered by ‘Kershaw & Under’ parlay bettors is because the high prices that Kershaw commands in the markets equate to relatively low payouts on parlay wagers.
SportsBIT told you about the Padres truly woeful 1-19 streak to open the season in the last game of their series. But San Diego finally won their second series finale yesterday, and it was a big payday for the syndicates! Wiseguys bet the Padres from +110 to -130 on MLB Odds, putting their money AGAINST the prevailing trend (or at least against the Marlins).
And SportsBIT told you about Corey Kluber’s bizarre splits on Wednesday’s show – dominant when pitching with a lead, but downright lousy when pitching from behind. Kluber went against KC last night, and the Royals took a 2-0 lead in the first inning. The end result? He got rocked for eight earned runs in just five innings of work, as KC improved to 9-0 in their last nine at Kauffmann Stadium.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. Pauly and Teddy break down Sonny Gray’s struggles with the A’s. They talk about why on earth Reds manager Bryan Pryce would insert Alfredo Simon into the game in a save situation. They talk about how the syndicates took a hit while looking for ‘value’ on the Pirates last night, and how Under bettors in the LA – Minnesota game went from laughing to crying in one ugly fifth inning. And all of this comes BEFORE their preview of the Cavs – Warriors Game 6 showdown. Check out today’s loaded show right here, right now.
