Tonight an up pace game between the Suns & Clippers could hold some really nice value here on a Monday night, and I think I have found the NBA pick to make a profit tonight.

Tempo and Pace
These two teams play a very fast pace, as through the first few games, both teams are inside the top third of the league when it comes to pace of play. With the NBA odds heavily in favor of the Clippers at -9, the total is where I have found most, if not all of the value in this game. At just 209 ½, the over seems like one of the better plays of the night between these two teams that are sometimes also allergic to defense.

The Clippers are 4th in the league currently in offensive efficiency as well to start the season, and against a team like the Suns that play fast, the Clippers should easily have over 100 points tonight. In fact, they have averaged 117 points per game in their last five games overall against the Suns, and in their last two home games against Phoenix last season, the Clippers scored more than 120 points per game. Needless to say, Los Angeles should have little trouble scoring the ball.

Blake Griffin should be a big part of that. In three games this season he has laid waste to anyone defending him, and tonight against Markieff Morris and Tyson Chandler, Blake should have little problem putting the ball in the basket. Griffin is making his case for MVP to start the season, and with him playing so well, it opens things up for the rest of the Clippers newfound offensive depth.

Another big part of this game should be the play of the Suns, who are both better and more coherent this season compared to last. Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight look like they are playing well with one another, and if you compare backcourts tonight, even with Chris Paul on the other side, the Suns might have the advantage. This could not only mean more points for the Suns, but it could keep them in the game longer, forcing the Clippers to keep scoring, and forcing the game total to keep rising. Compared to the Thunder and Rockets tonight, another high total, I actually like the over in this one better, and the total is four points less in in LA.

The Sharp Pick
In this up and down game, the over is the play, I mentioned above how many points the Clippers have scored against the Suns over their last five games, and even with Chandler now in place, I doubt the average is going to dip much tonight in Los Angeles. The over has cashed in three of the last four games between these two, and with the benefit freshness in the early season, this play is the over. I expect a final score of about 112-104, so take the over and add it to your NBA picks.

NBA Pick: OVER 209 ½ at Heritage

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":2882511, "sportsbooksIds":[1096,19,93,92,238,349], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]
