Jayson Tatum is in the running for the NBA MVP award – but the only thing we want to see from him on Wednesday is some rebounds. Jon Metler has selected five of his favorite NBA player props for Wednesday's games using the latest NBA odds

We lost our last three NBA same-game parlays by one assist, two points, and one assist. There are some people who would say we're due for a win here, and I agree with them.

I was tempted to put Harrison Barnes 10+ points in the parlay once again, but I figured it would be better to spare everyone the pain of potentially watching someone run a marathon and finish with five points.

Let's get a win!

Here are our NBA SGP picks for Wednesday (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook).

NBA SGP predictions

Rudy Gobert 10+ rebounds vs. Warriors (-470)

Gobert averages 11.8 rebounds per game, and his total against the Warriors on Wednesday is 12.5. It might seem high, but the projections have Gobert flying by this total. With a projection of just below 14 rebounds, we can price Gobert at -590 to record 10+ rebounds.

James Harden 8+ assists vs. Magic (-430)

The Orlando Magic stunned the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday with a come-from-behind victory, so I feel pretty confident that the 76ers will play with laser focus on Wednesday. Harden is projected to drop 10.9 dimes against the Magic, which means that the alternate total of 8+ assists should trade at -515 instead of -430.

D'Angelo Russell 4+ assists vs. Warriors (-750)

It's no secret that I base my picks on math: I prefer to wager on numbers rather than players. One thing I will never pass up is the opportunity to place a bet when the numbers are on my side, and we have an additional angle that is difficult to handicap. That's what we have in Russell, who we can price at -1075 based on his projections and who should also have an extra bounce in his step when he faces the Golden State Warriors, the team that traded him away.

Jayson Tatum 6+ rebounds vs. Nets (-700)

Tatum has averaged 11.4 rebounds per game in his last nine games and has exceeded this total on every occasion. We can price this prop at -785 because Tatum is projected to grab 9.7 rebounds on Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets. It's a very small edge in the numbers, but edges rarely appear on Tatum's props.

Chris Paul 8+ assists vs. Hawks (-490)

Devin Booker remains out for the Phoenix Suns, so Paul will have to create all the offence once again. With Paul projected to have just over 11 assists on Wednesday, we can price this prop at -610 for an alternate total of 8+ assists.

Why is this a good NBA SGP?

It's rare to hear the words same-game parlay and positive expected value in the same sentence, but let us compare our price with that of FanDuel.

By parlaying all of our prices together, we arrive at a price point of +102. However, FanDuel offers us this parlay at a price of +136. Therefore, this bet has a positive expected value of 17%.
