The Brooklyn Nets got their best player back on Saturday night with D’Angelo Russell playing 14 minutes after not seeing the court since November. Whether or not he’ll play tonight is somewhat irrelevant though, because I’m going after the total for this one sitting at 209 points.

My NBA Pick: OVER 209
Best Line (-107) at Bet Online[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3264281, "sportsbooksIds":[1096,169,19,139,93], "LineTypeId":3, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/] Nets vs. Pistons

Even if Russell doesn’t play tonight against the Pistons, the Nets are giving up almost 110 points per game on the road this season, so on the second night of a back-to-back as well, there is going to be some defensive lapses for Brooklyn tonight on the road.

The Nets have cashed the over in three straight and four of their last five road games coming into this one, and during those last five away from home, they have allowed an average of 109.4 points per game.

If it wasn’t for that one weird road win where they beat Miami 111-87 back in late December, they would be giving up a lot more on the road as of late.

Against a team like the Pistons, who have a lot of offensive weapons, the Nets won’t stand much of a chance to slow them down tonight. Detroit is 4-2 cashing the over in their last six games, and over their last four games they have allowed nearly 111 points per game.

Plus, the last time these two played back on January 10, the Pistons unloaded 114 points on Brooklyn. While the Nets only scored 80 in that one, I don’t see a repeat of that happening with the way the Pistons’ defense is playing right now.

Even though the under has been cashing more between these two over the last few seasons, the sharps are also pushing this total up some as of Sunday morning, so I would follow along and add the over to your NBA Picks.
