Atlanta is coming off a huge win at Utah, thanks to Dennis Schroder's 41 points, and tonight they get a weaker opponent in Sacramento. There should be no shortage of points by either team.

Watching Atlanta Hawks point guard Dennis Schroder sometimes is kind of like watching a prized yearling colt. You can see the potential, but he can be sloppy and out of control.

Two nights ago, however, Schroder looked like a man intent on destroying the talented Utah Jazz defense. It remains to be seen if he will be motivated enough to do the same thing tonight against the Sacramento Kings.

What is certain is that the Kings’ defense is bad enough for Schroder to continue doing things like this:

If the Hawks can somehow continue their offensive explosion from the last five games, the "over" on the NBA odds board will be a fantastic play tonight with your NBA picks. The Hawks are averaging 112.4 points in their past five games while allowing nearly 119 per game during that stretch.

The Hawks have not been great at cashing the "over" against the West, or coming off a win this season. However, the Kings are 4-3 cashing the "over" as home favorites, and they shouldn’t have much trouble scoring on the Hawks. Sacramento has had two days of rest, and they are 5-3 cashing the "over" in their past eight games on two or more days rest.
