The Rockets waxed Denver on Friday night, and now they are up against the Suns on no rest on Saturday in Phoenix. Even though we lost a first half total play on the Nuggets last night thanks to Denver not coming to play, I could see a different outcome on Saturday.

The Nuggets have been giving up a ton of points as of late. The start of the year saw them play pretty well on defense, but that has gone by the wayside as of late. They are coming off giving up 130 points to the Rockets and have now allowed 114.4 points per game over their last five.

On top of that, they have been really bad in the first halves of games. I touched on this yesterday, but the Nuggets rank towards the bottom of the league in first half defensive rating, especially on the road.

Now they are up against a poor defense and even on the second night of a back to back, they should have no issues scoring against the Suns. The Suns have allowed almost 115 points per game over their last five, and they are giving up nearly 58 points per first half at home this season.

If the Nuggets can shake off their loss last night, and if the Suns can score into the mid to upper 50s in the first half, I love the over in the first half at 110 ½.

Even though the Suns have been struggling some on offense, they have played some tough teams lately. Denver is by far the worst defensive team they have faced in several weeks.
