It’s Final Four Saturday, always one the best days for those placing college basketball picks. We have one significant line move in one the contests plus others in the NBA and NHL as well.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Charlotte Hornets  7:05 ET  CSN-P, SPSO
Charlotte has dropped 10 of 14 (6-8 ATS) and been held under 75 points three times. As an NBA basketball handicapper, I could make the argument the Hornets have literally shot themselves out of contention for the playoffs, now two games in the loss column behind Miami for the final spot and during this abysmal stretch they have shot 40.1 percent, the worst in the league. This is why those overlooking the betting odds have lost faith in Charlotte even against Philadelphia and lowered them from -9.5 to –7. Need another reason to play against the Hornets with your NBA picks? They are 0-8 ATS in home games after a blowout loss by 15 points or more this season.

NBA Pick – Lean Philadelphia

L.A. Clippers vs. Denver Nuggets 9:05 ET FSN-PT, ALT2
Having won eight of nine (6-3 ATS) with their only loss coming to Golden State by four points, the Clippers are in the three-way tie in the Western Conference bunched with 26 losses. Los Angeles is fighting for home court advantage in the opening round and for those hitting the betting windows today, they like the Clips chances of taking the next step. Doc Rivers club opened as a 6.5 point road favorite on the NBA odds and jumped almost immediately two points before settling at -9. Here is why this might be a good play: Road favorites like Los Angeles who allow 98-102 points a game, against opponent who surrenders 102 or more PPG, after allowing 60 points or more in the first half of last game, are a dandy 27- 6 ATS the last 19 years.

Wisconsin vs. Kentucky 8:45 ET  TBS
There has been a lot of talk about this semifinal not be a rematch from last year, especially on the Kentucky side since the makeup of their team is completely different. This would also appear to be the case to those making sports picks while perusing the NCAA Tournament Odds since the total has tumbled from 133.5 to 131.5 or lower at a few different sportsbooks. Last year’s total of 138 was rather easily surpassed in the Wildcats 74-73 thriller; however, coach John Calipari’s unbeaten squad is 6-1-1 UNDER in their last eight contests. The original number made more sense to me because Wisconsin will get some open three-looks and I fully anticipate Kentucky to run on every rebound to beat Bo Ryan’s defense down the floor. I'll take the over as my NCAA Tournament pick tonight.

NCAA Tournament Pick – Lean Over

Vancouver Canucks vs. Winnipeg Jets 3:05 ET  NHLN
Vancouver is attempting at secure home ice for the opening round of the playoffs, Winnipeg is simply hoping to make it to the postseason. The Jets are tied with Los Angeles for the last postseason slot in the Western Conference but would lose a tiebreaker at this time to the Kings. The cash is coming in on Winnipeg who is up 25 cents to -145 on the money line on the posted NHL betting odds. The Jets have lost three of four and three in a row to the Canucks. While I can understand the home ice edge, Vancouver off as 3-1 loss at Chicago is 6-1 away after a road setback by two or more goals, so I'll back them with my NHL picks

NHL Pick – Vancouver wins
