Let's see what kind of NBA odds value is out there for exploiting on Saturday. Have we found two profitable picks?

There are only two NBA betting lines that really stand out for tonight.

The Heat and Rockets are the two large favorites of the night. Miami is laying nine points on the road in Utah, while Houston is favored by 10.5 points on the road against the woeful Bucks.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Both teams were in action last night and both were involved in close games.

The Timberwolves let one slip away in the Big Easy, while the Trail Blazers fell just short in overtime against Indiana.

Tonight, oddsmakers have listed Portland as a short one-point favorite, while the O/U is at either 212 or 212.5. On the year the Trail Blazers are 35-15 SU and 27-23 ATS, while the Timberwolves are 24-26 SU and 26-24 ATS.

In two meetings this season, each team has won at home, while we've seen shootouts on both occasions.

Portland is a solid 16-10 straight up and 15-11 against the spread on the road this season and they'll come up against a Minnesota squad that's 14-9 SU and 11-12 ATS inside the Target Center.

We're not going to over-think this one. The Timberwolves are too inconsistent for our liking, while the Trail Blazers are obviously the better team.

After really giving Indiana a scare on their home court, we think Portland will come out and do the same to Minnesota, only this time they'll close things out and get the win. Side with Lillard, Alridge and the Trail Blazers to cash in for your NBA picks.

NBA Pick: Portland Trail Blazers -1

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Atlanta Hawks

We're shifting gears and recommending a total pick to wrap up our selections for the day.

The Hawks welcome the Grizzlies to the ATL tonight and the NBA betting spread is very tight. Atlanta opened at -2.5 but that number has already been wagered down to 1.5, so clearly the public is digging Memphis in this situation.

In terms of recent form, the Grizzlies have fallen back down to earth after winning six straight games. They've lost consecutive matchups in Oklahoma City (77-86) and at home to Dallas (96-110).

As for Atlanta, they've also lost two in a row, suffering defeat at home versus Indiana (85-89) and at New Orleans (100-105). The Hawks come in at an even 5-5 both straight up and against the spread over their past 10 contests.

Why a total play? Well, both teams are missing key guys and that lends itself to the UNDER. Starting point guard Mike Conley is out until February and Tony Allen (hand) is questionable for tonight. The Hawks are already without Al Horford and Pero Antic and now Paul Millsap (illness) is questionable as well.

With these missing ingredients, let's stay away from a play on the spread and instead be on the lookout for more of a defensive battle. If we had to dish out a lean, it'd be on the Grizzlies, who should certainly be considered even more should Millsap indeed sit out.

But, even though we saw 209 points in the first meeting of the season between these teams, we don't foresee anywhere near that number tonight. Look for the UNDER to come through for NBA bettors this evening.

NBA Pick: UNDER 188.5
