We have reached the weekend and there are still plenty of NBA games with great action on them this Saturday evening. I have found two more NBA Picks that I am feeling great about, and after barely missing out on two winners last night, let’s see if we can bounce back tonight.

Phoenix Suns vs. Detroit Pistons

Both of these teams played last night, and both should be plenty tired after their close games. The Pistons edged out the 76ers 114-104 in Philadelphia, while the Suns couldn’t quite close it out against the Grizzlies in Memphis. Tonight the NBA Odds have the Pistons as slight -1 ½ favorites, but I am a bit more focused on the total of 205 ½.

After both teams played last night on the road, both should be a little worn out heading into this game. Normally that means the over could be the play, and I think that holds true tonight. The Pistons have been horrendous on defense this season, and I doubt it suddenly improves tonight on the second end of a back to back.

While the Suns have been inconsistent on the second night of back to backs, the Pistons have been very good at playing in higher scoring games on no rest. Detroit has cashed the over in eight of their 10 games on the second night of a back to back this season, and even at home, they are giving up points. At home this season, the Pistons rank 29th in overall defense, giving up nearly 104 points per game.

Against the Suns’ and their very fast paced offense, it should be a great game for an over bet. The over has cashed in five straight home games for the Pistons, and in 14 of their last 17 overall.

NBA Pick: OVER 205 ½

Charlotte Bobcats vs. Chicago Bulls

The NBA Odds have Chicago as a -5 favorite tonight in the United Center, with a very low total of 178 points. Both of these teams also played last night, as the Bulls took care of Milwaukee on the road, while the Bobcats got beat up in Minnesota. While their flights to the Windy City may have been short, I see value coming in on the road team in this game.

The Cats have been terribly undervalued this season, unless of course you have made some money off of them, then ‘terribly’ is not the word. The Bobcats are 12-4-2 ATS on the road this season, and coming off of a loss, they are 13-7-1 ATS. With the trade of Luol Deng, the Bulls have become one of the five worst teams in the NBA, and even though they are at home tonight, they are not -5 favorites.

Charlotte has actually covered three of their last four games against the Bulls overall, including a game early this season from Chicago where the Bobcats lost SU and covered ATS. Even though they have a poor history of beating the Bulls SU, they are very good at covering, and five points is too much tonight considering all of the circumstances.

This is likely going to be one of the lowest scoring games of the night, and that will only help the Cats. Without Deng holding everything together, the Bulls’ defense is going to fall off from its' elite status it has enjoyed over the years. It may not have shown last night against the Bucks, but the Bulls’ are not going to have a Top 5 defense without Deng. I see Charlotte covering for our free NBA picks.

NBA Pick: Bobcats +5
