Ready to go for 12-straight in Denver! #RunAsOne 🚀

— Houston Rockets (@HoustonRockets) February 25, 2018

They say money goes to money. In Houston's case, talent goes to talent. The Rockets recently acquired seven-time All-Star Joe Johnson and his presence provides even more depth for a team that is already stacked. The Rockets are sizzling as they turn into the homestretch of the regular season, having won 11 straight and 18 of their last 20 games straight up, covering the NBA odds in 12 of those 20 contests.

Houston owns the best record in the league, ahead of Golden State by percentage points, and dominated the Nuggets in both meetings this season. In early November the Rockets won 125-95, and just a few weeks ago they dismantled Denver again 130-104. Yes, the venue has changed as both of those games took place in Houston but now we add Johnson to the Houston mix and I say 4½ points can hardly sway me from including a road favorite as one of my NBA picks this evening. Houston by double digits ... again!

Philadelphia (32-25 SU, 32-25 ATS) is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

Philadelphia is 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games following a straight-up win of more than 10 points.

Philadelphia is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games as a road underdog of 0.5-4.5.

Washington (34-25 SU, 28-31 ATS) is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following an ATS loss.

Washington is 2-7 ATS in their last nine home games.

Washington is 1-7 ATS in their last eight games as a home favorite of 0.5-4.5.

Despite the fact Philadelphia is poised to match their longest winning streak since Allen Iverson dribbled a ball in a Sixers' uniform, many cannot wrap their minds around the fact that this long-suffering franchise has finally seen their harvest of top draft choices bloom into bona fide stars. Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons are doing all the heavy lifting for this team that has reeled off seven straight wins and covered the NBA odds in all but two.

We like the fact that they are catching Washington coming off a 122-105 loss to Charlotte and the fact that Philly has won and covered two of the three meetings with the Wizards this season. Don't worry about the Sixers playing the second leg of back-to-back games tonight as this club is young and these legs are fresh. With our NBA picks we'll take the better team and will grab the small number here.
