There are a few intriguing matchups on Tuesday's NBA schedule, so let's find a few quality bets to make with games involving the Heat and Lakers.

Tuesday NBA: Heat vs. Raptors

The Raptors are coming off of a thrilling one-point victory over the Nets on Monday night, but they might have lost their starting point guard for an extended period. Kyle Lowry had what the Raptors are describing as an acute back spasm, and it will be extremely tough for them to compete without their emotional leader on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Heat have been resting since last playing on Sunday when they defeated the Jazz. Goran Dragic continues to lead the Heat by scoring a team-high 16.7 points per game. Dragic’s leadership has allowed the Heat to win their last four games and shoot up the Eastern Conference standings from ninth place to fifth -- something to be aware of when making our NBA picks.

Toronto was once on the outside looking in of the pace-and-space movement, as they were one of the few teams that did not implement the 3-point shot in their offensive strategy. Toronto guard DeMar DeRozan has became notorious for his propensity to take mid-range jump shots, but he and the Raptors are changing that narrative. DeRozan is shooting a career-high 36 percent from three-point range and is taking 3.2 threes per game. The Raptors will need another superhero performance from DeRozan if they expect to defeat the Heat on short rest and short-handed.

Tuesday NBA: Kings vs. Lakers

Free NBA Pick: Lakers -6.5Best Line Offered: Bookmaker

The Kings have been playing better of late, and that has to do with Zach Randolph playing out of his mind. Z-Bo scored 11 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter of Sacramento's win against the Suns.

Another Kings player who is playing extremely well is Frank Mason. The point guard has taken a lot of minutes away from fellow rookie D’Aaron Fox, and rightfully so. In his last 10 games, Mason is playing 22 minutes per game and scoring 9.8 points while averaging 3.8 assists and 3.0 rebounds. The undersized guard is using his talents to get others involved and push the pace of the offense.

The Lakers are dealing with more controversy off the court as Lavar Ball has made comments about Head Coach Luke Walton losing the locker room amid a nine-game losing streak. The players and management have denied any conflict and insist they are on the right path to success with Walton.

On the court, the Lakers snapped their losing streak with a win against the worst team in the league, the Hawks. Ball might be putting unnecessary pressure on his son, but Lonzo Ball is actually getting into a groove with his shooting. Over his last four games he is averaging 12 points per game on 42-percent shooting from the field and 37.5-percent shooting from three-point range. Look for Lonzo to continue his improved play and for the Lakers to cover the number on the NBA odds board and defeat the Kings.
