The Raptors are dealing with some banged up guards right now and the Nets are -7 favorites against them on Sunday. If this game turns into a fast-paced contest, the over looks like a fine play on Sunday in the NBA Odds.

Raptors vs. Nets

The Raptors are not only dealing with an injury to DeMar DeRozan, but there is a chance that Kyle Lowry sits out today’s game as well. That would put the Raptors in a tough spot offensively, but it also still may impact the total in this one.

At 217, the over looks like a fantastic play regardless of Lowry’s status. These two teams have cashed the over against one another in two of their three games against one another and the first one that they cashed the under was still a 116-104 game.

Potentially without DeRozan and Lowry, the Raptors are going to have no choice but to speed the game up and almost completely abandon their half court offense. Sure, they’ll dump the ball down to Jonas Valanciunas a lot, but running the fast break and taking a lot of shots early in the shot clock.

As one of the fastest paced teams in the league, the Nets will be happy to oblige the Raptors in their efforts to potentially play faster. All of this boils down to the over. Even in the early afternoon game, these two teams should play fast, loose and with very little defense.
