Some well-known stars are either out or injured, which should open up the path for points across many teams in the NBA. I’ve picked out a few players who should be in line for good nights given their matchups and injury news for our NBA prop picks.
Wednesday night should feature the perfect recipe for three of the league’s more talented players, combining a good matchup with the perfect opportunity. While it’s always fun to bet Overs on star players, these role players probably aren’t part of your regular rotation. With that said, they should go off on Wednesday.
Here are my top prop picks for Wednesday’s 13-game NBA schedule. (Odds via BetMGM; pick confidence based on 1-to-5-star scale).
Top NBA Prop Picks
Josh Giddey Over 13.5 Points (+100) ★★★★★
Mo Bamba Over 22.5 Points & Rebounds (-110) ★★★★
Kyle Kuzma Over 23.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-115) ★★★★

Top Prop Picks
Giddey Over 13.5 Points (+100) ★★★★★
The Oklahoma City Thunder will once again be without the services of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, their leading scorer. Josh Giddey, a promising rookie, has been taking his place. The Aussie has taken double-digit shots in all but four games this season, but it’s only been recently that his usage has ratcheted up.
Giddey has scored more than 13 points in all of the Thunder’s last four games, and he’s even chipped in double-digit rebounds twice in that span as well. I suspect Giddey scores a bunch here, even on a good Utah Jazz defense, and I’ll take the point total instead of a slightly-inflated 25.5 points, rebounds, and assists prop to open my NBA prop picks.
Bamba Over 22.5 Points & Rebounds (-110) ★★★★
The Charlotte Hornets are notorious for their inability to defend inside and rebound, and it makes total sense considering forward Miles Bridges likes to space the floor and play at the 3-point line and Mason Plumlee is, well, Mason Plumlee.
The Hornets are 22nd in defensive efficiency and 29th in rebounding. Bamba averages nearly a double-double and scored 14 points with 10 rebounds the last time he played the Hornets.
BetMGM doesn’t have a double-double prop, but I’d be interested in that. He should well exceed this number, though.
Kuzma Over 23.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-115) ★★★★
Kyle Kuzma has been something of a stat sheet stuffer of late, and now he has a date with the 28th-ranked defense in the NBA. New Orleans has been one big turnstile, and the Pelicans’ interior has suffered since Steven Adams left the team.
Enter Kuzma, who has averaged 12 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in the past three games. He’s still not even shooting all that well from three (35.7%) which opens the door to even more in the scoring department. The rebounds have been steady and should provide him with a solid P+R+A floor, and the scoring against a terrible defense should get him over the top.
