Portland has won the previous 3 meetings this season by scores of 105-93 and 112-97 at home, as well as 98-94 on this court. See my NBA Pick inside.

Portland Trailblazers vs. Sacramento Kings
With a record of 31-46 SU and 8 games out of the final playoff spot, the Kings will miss the playoffs for yet another season. Portland is currently 6th in the Western Conference Playoff queue with a record of 41-37 SU, trailing Memphis by only a single game in the loss column for the 5th playoff spot. Portland, however, has just a 2-game lead in the loss column over the Houston Rockets, who are the No. 9 seed. It will be an eventful 2 weeks, as no less than 5 teams battle for the 4 final playoff spots in the West.

Sacramento needs to look no further than a league worst defense that allows 109 PPG to see why they are going to again miss the playoffs. With HC Karl potentially on his way out of town, the Kings could toss the towel at any moment. At this point in time, however, they are playing good basketball. Sacramento has won 4 of 6 recent games, averaging 114 PPG. The Kings have also covered 8 of their last 10. Their star offensive player, Cousins, has done his best work here at Sleep Train, where he has averaged 30/11. But, the reality is that this has been the Kings’ worst role where they are 5-10 ATS as home dog. Even if their best 3 offensive players, Cousins, Gay and Rondo, all suit up as expected, they would have to have one of their best games of the year to beat a highly motivated Portland team.

A recent quote from Portland HC Stotts says it all. While other teams have openly stated their goal to rest players and be 100% healthy for the playoffs, Stotts said “the goal is to win every game.” Portland began the year with just 1 returning starter in Lillard, their best player. The team feels it would be quite an achievement to match their 5th place finish of last year in the West. For that reason, expect full motivation from the Blazers tonight. Expect the best game from Lillard, who has averaged 31 PPG in his last 3 on this court. The Blazers were cruising on a 4-game winning streak, before running into a highly-motivated Golden St. team Saturday night. The 136-111 loss to the Warriors sets up a situation that finds Portland to be a rock-solid 22-15 ATS, following a defeat this year.

Betting Analysis
In a classic super-surger vs. towel-tosser, late-season situation, we will lineup with a Portland team, who figures to play with 100% motivation and who has owned this team the last 2 seasons. I invite you to put the NBA odds boards in your favor and join me in my NBA picks on the Portland Trailblazers tonight.
