The Bucks have won and covered two straight games heading into their first contest of 2018, and a game against the Raptors on New Year’s Day is going to be a tough test. Oddsmakers have the Raptors as -6 favorites, with a total of 216.

Bucks vs. Raptors

The Bucks and Raptors hooked up in the playoffs last season and after 10 total games between the regular season and the playoffs, the Raptors went 6-4 ATS overall and 3-2 ATS when they played from Toronto.

The Bucks have improved some since then with the addition of Eric Bledsoe, but the trip to Toronto on New Year’s Day is not an easy one even for an improved Bucks team. The Raptors are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and in those four games they have put up some impressive win margins.

The Raptors posted an average win margin of 19 points in their last four home games, and while the quality of opponent is definitely improving tonight, if they can slow down Giannis Antetokounmpo, there is some upside in the Raptors’ NBA Odds.

Even with the Bucks playing solidly on the road this season ATS, their defense could hurt them in this game, and they could also struggle to slow down the Raptors’ big men.
