The finale of the NBA regular season is finally here, and even though all 16 playoff teams are locked in, there are still multiple seeding issues to take care of. The NBA Odds have some meaningful games, and one of them is the Bulls and Bobcats.

Bulls need win; Bobcats could use one too
Good things could come to both of these teams with a win, but the Bulls probably have more riding on it than the Bobcats do. Tonight however, the NBA Odds have this game as a pick em, with a total of 181 ½. The Bulls could still avoid the Brooklyn Nets in the first round with a win tonight and a Raptors’ loss, however Toronto is in New York, and Carmelo Anthony’s status is in doubt.

On the other side, the Bobcats could move up to the 6th seed, however they would need to beat the Bulls tonight, and hope that the Wizards lose tonight against the Celtics. That is a much more unlikely scenario compared to the Bulls’ prospects, and something tells me that neither one of these teams will play this game like a playoff game. While both coaches want to win, they will also not want to injure one of their main players in a game that doesn’t mean much in the long scheme of things.

Charlotte probably values rest more than Chicago though, considering they matchup pretty well against the Heat anyway. However, the Bobcats are 3-0 SU against the Raptors this season, and I know they would love to move up if the Wizards for some reason are losing to the Celtics in Boston.

In conclusion, this should be a pretty hard fought game for most, if not all of it. While minutes may be scaled back some, if the score is close in the 4th, don’t expect the starters to be sitting very long.

The Sharp Pick
Another great part about these NBA Odds is that the total, although low, is still valuable for an under bet. If the starters get fewer minutes, for these two teams it will likely mean less offense. Both of these teams can struggle on that end of the court at times, and if their starters aren’t in for more than 30 minutes tonight, you might see less scoring.

On top of that, the under has cashed in two of the three meetings between these two teams this season, as well as seven of the last eight matchups through the last few seasons.

For the Cats, the under has cashed in four of their last six games overall, and I think they will play enough defense on the Bulls here to cash the under again. One or both of these teams will fall below the 90-point mark tonight. In the two games this season where the total has gone under, both teams were below 90 points at the end of the game.

Since both Chicago and Charlotte would benefit from a win here, especially if both the Raptors and Wizards lose tonight, this should be a very contested game, and almost a playoff warm-up for both clubs. While some players may only be in for limited minutes, look for the total to got under anyway.

My Pick: UNDER 181 ½
