Oklahoma City, with all hands on deck, is off to a 3-0 start to this season; on the other end of the spectrum Houston is 0-3, and more importantly 0-3 against the NBA odds.

Thunder vs. Rockets Betting Odds
Most of Monday's NBA odds market opened this game with OKC favored by a point or two, with a total of right around 215. In the early action the Thunder got bet up to -4 across the boards, while the total dropped a point, to 214.

Bettors out there who believe Houston might win this game outright could get a price of +160 on the moneyline at 5Dimes.

Thunder vs. Rockets Match-Up
OKC is 3-0 SU, 2-1 ATS through its first three games under new head coach Billy Donovan, after dispatching of Denver Sunday night 117-93. The Thunder only led by eight points at the half, but stretched that to 30 in the third quarter and emptied the bench from there. On the night OKC shot 52 percent from the field, hit 13-of-25 shots from 3-point range, held the Nuggets to just 38 percent shooting and covered as a 12-point favorite.

The Thunder opened this season with a 112-106 victory over San Antonio last Wednesday, then outlasted Orlando in double-overtime 139-136 Friday.

Oklahoma City went off this season with a wins OVER/UNDER of 57, getting around 9/2 to win the Western Conference.

Houston, meanwhile, is off to a terrible start, losing its first three games both SU and ATS. Sunday night the Rockets led Miami by 21 early in the third quarter, but got outscored from there by a ridiculous 65-24 margin. Houston shot just 41 percent from the floor for the night, and allowed the Heat to shoot 49 percent.

Center Dwight Howard sat out Sunday night's game with a sore back, but he is expected to play tonight.

The Rockets went off this season with a wins OVER/UNDER of 56; they then opened with a 20-point loss at home to Denver, then lost by 20 at home to Golden State. Can we still get the UNDER?

Recent History
Houston swept three games from Oklahoma City last season, by scores of 69-65, 112-101 and 115-112. But Thunder F Kevin Durant missed two of those contests with injuries, and Russell Westbrook missed one. So those games mean very little to us, when handicapping tonight's contest.

Two seasons ago OKC took three of four from the Rockets.

Final Analysis
Houston may eventually get its act together this season, but at the moment this team is a bit of a mess. James Harden can't throw the ball in the ocean, and nobody's playing any defense. Back-to-back-to-back 20-point losses say something. Meanwhile, Oklahoma City is healthy. So for our free NBA pick on the side here, while we don't usually like going with the flow, we'll take the Thunder, the favorite at what seems like a manageable spread.

Also, the Rockets are struggling on offense, but Howard could help on defense. So we're thinking UNDER.
